I opened my eyes slowly and to be met by a white ceiling. I felt my head sting, it hurts so damn much. I groan as I tried to sat up but stop as someone held my hands.

"Just lay down" he whispered.

"Taehyung? What are you doing here? Why am I here?"

He sigh and held my hands tighter, slightly squeezing it. I look at our clasp hands and tried removing it from his grasp but he held it even tighter making me flinch.

"Taehyung" I look at him and saw tears brimming down his eyes. My eyes widened.

"What's wrong?" I quickly remove my hands from his and cup his cheeks.

"Nothing"

Wiping his tears with my thumbs, he flashed a smile. After awhile it became silent until a question pop in my head.

"Where's Jungkook?"

"He went for an important business" he avoided eye contact.

"What kind of important business?"

"Just shut up and be quiet" he snap. Shock by his sudden change of attitude, I lowered my head.

"Okay"

Taehyung sigh and took my hands in his again.

"Listen Eulji" he look at me hesitantly. "Do you remember the face of the person who beat you?" he asked. I started thinking about what happened but then I didn't really see the person's face.

"His face was covered with mask but I did notice that he has a tattoo on the side of his neck"

He narrowed his eyes and bit his lip nervously.

"Why?" I asked.

"Don't ever leave my sight from now on" Taehyung said and kissed my hands.

My heart was beating faster, I don't know why but I like it when Taehyung's being soft or kind. His presence makes me comfortable.

Suddenly thoughts of him hurting me from the past until now came flashing through me. I took my hands and held it tight on my chest. Fear and confusion filled up my mind.

"I don't want your pity" I said coldly.

"Listen Eulji--"

"Why are you like this?" lowering my head, I can feel my eyes sting at the thought of him hurting me even more. "Why are you so caring all of a sudden?" he kept silent, I gulp. "I can't take your sudden changes of attitude and personality" tears fell down on my lap as I bold my hands into a fist.

"You don't care about me Taehyung and I know that" I finish as my sobs became louder.

"Eulji" he held my face and made me look at him. "You don't know how much I care about you"

"Care?" I laugh sarcastically.

"Do you think leaving me when I was a loner when we were kids was a way of taking care of me? You left me Taehyung-ah. You fucking left me when I needed you" I remove his hands on my face.

"I'm sorry"

"Sorry can't fix this problem" I avoided his gaze.

"But Eulji I'm doing this for your own good"

"Just tell me. Why did you became so cold to me? Why did you change? Is it because we struggled back then? We struggle to earn money because my parents died?" I said breaking into tears again.

"That's not it" he paused and bit his lip. "I don't care if you're poor or not. I just wanted to protect you"

A painful laugh escape my mouth. "So bullying and being cold to me is a way to protect me. Is that it?" I look at him straight in the eyes.

"You don't understand"

"You're right, I don't. I don't understand because you don't want to talk all this out years ago. Did you really treat me as your friend?"

He kept silent.

"Tell me" he kept silent again.

"Are you mute now? Tell me--"

I was cut off by a pair of lips pressed against mine. I froze, shock by the sudden contact. After awhile he pulled back and a smile appeared on his face.

"Baby, I didn't treat you as my friend. I want you more than that"

Jungkook's Pov.

I went home as I finish Taehyung's orders. I fell down on the couch, feeling tired and irritated.

•Flashback•

I caressed Eulji's face, she was taking a rest. The door opened revealing Taehyung who was messy. His hair was all messed up and his tie was loosed.

"What happened to you?"

Taehyung eyes traveled to the woman laying unconscious on the bed.

"What happened to her?" He asked and made his way towards us.

"He was found laying on the hallways in our school covered with blood and her head was injured. She has bruises on her body, probably because she was beaten up" I sigh and look at Eulji's pale face. "Luckily the doctor said that she's fine by now" I smiled.

"Did anyone saw the person?"

"I don't know. Do you know anyone who could possibly hurt Eulji?"

"Maybe my brother was the cause of this and his assistant"

"Your brother's really back?" My eyes widened.

"Yes and he killed most of the people in our house when I got home. I was thankful that mom and dad was on a business trip"

"He can't hurt your parents" I said assuring him.

"I know him" he sigh. "He even wants to kill me because he thought I stole her first love"

"Who's the girl?" I ask confused.

"It's Eulji"
