Susie strolled back into class, hands in her pockets while the pictures from two minutes ago replayed in her head.
Passing through the door frame she glared at Kris, telling the teacher that the student almost fainted and her mom had to pick her up. She silently hated herself for letting (Y/N) walk home alone, but she can't change that now. She sat in her seat, ignoring the worried glances her friend sent her every minute.
Class finished as soon as it started, and Susie picked her tired body up from her seat, dragging her feet down the corridor that lead to the school doors. She kept her head down, listening to the happy cheers from the kids around her. She felt a nudge on her arm. Turning her head towards her friend and raising an eyebrow in confusion, she asked what he wanted.
"Do you wanna go to my place to talk...you aren't okay right now... "
She looked at him for another second, contemplating whether she should speak about it or keep her muzzle shut. Her brows came together as she got lost deep in her thoughts, but was once again stopped by Kris as he grabbed her jacket and started dragging her to his home, not giving her a chance to answer. She let him drag her, still keeping her glare glued onto the pavement, pictures of the bloody pavement flashing through her mind like a fucked up documentary. She looked up, seeing Kris's house just a few steps away from her body, the boy she was visiting just staring blankly ahead.
Kris opened the door, letting Susie in and directing her to his room. She went in and sat on the bed, and Kris soon came in with tea and a piece of pie, setting it next to Susie.
"You get the pie when you tell me what happened. "
Susie glared at him, and he smiled knowing well that she can't resist the pie his mother so lovingly makes every day. She let out a breath of defeat, taking the tea in her palms as she leaned on the wall behind her. She turned her head to Kris, opening and closing her mouth multiple times, trying to think of a way to begin her sentence. She glared once again, finally emitting sound.
"She was bloody"
Kris looked at her, clearly confused out of his mind.
"Bloody? "
"Yea, fucking bloody, what else do you want me to say? "
He stared at her in silence for a few seconds, placing a hand on his chin in thought.
"Well um...maybe it's normal? Human girls um....bleed...every month. "
He was clearly uncomfortable with the topic that arose, looking at his lap as if he was disgusted with himself.
"From their arms? "
His head shot up as his eyes widened, his mouth flared open and stayed agape for a good minute. He stared at Susie, as if he was praying she was joking. She knew what he wanted to hear, but all she could do was shake her head and look at her mug once again.
"How much?" "Way too much.",she immediately cut him off, gritting her teeth as she remembered what she saw less than a hour ago. Kris placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to comfort her. She never looked this distressed in her life, he noted. 'She really must like her'
"What am I supposed to do? I even have her a hug and she still said she wouldn't stop!"
She was pulling at her hair now, almost losing a chunk if Kris hadn't stopped her. In that moment, her phone vibrated. Once, then twice.
Her head shot up as she looked at Kris, as if looking for approval.
Kris nodded his head, and Susie hurriedly pulled her phone out of her pocket. She unlocked the screen, seeing two messages from an unknown number.

Hey Susie 4:36pm
It's (Y/N) 4:36pm

The texts glared at her, and she glared right back at them.
She turned to Kris, looking for an answer. He shrugged his shoulders, not knowing what to do. She looked back at her phone, tapping away on the screen.

You alive? 4:41pm
I should have walked you home now that I think about it. 4:42pm

Nah, it's okay, I'm breathing if that comforts you. 4:44pm

Susie paused, not knowing what else to say. She stared at her phone blankly once again. Then, another vibration brought her back to reality

Do you hate me now? 4:49pm
