Chapter 6

"Kris what was I thinking?!"
The boy flinched as his friend screamed at his face,holding her head in her hands,a touch away from ripping her hair out.
"I like girls like you,what kind of pickup line is that?? Oh my god Kris what am I supposed to do when I see her again? She probably thinks I'm a freak or something!"
Kris shook his head as he listened to her rant,cracking a smile as he spit out a tiny laugh.
His friend was in love,that was obvious. The problem was the new girl. Susie never had a crush before,so this was almost mission impossible ,but he still had hope,he could teach her how to properly flirt.
"Kris you motherfucker,stop laughing at me! I met her yesterday and I'm head over heels,HELP ME!"
To that the boy burst out laughing,but his fit was short lived when the classroom door creaked open so slightly.
"Am I...interrupting something?"
A voice sounded from the hallway,only a head peaking through the doorway.
"NO! I mean no,you aren't!"
It was obvious that Susie was sweating at this point,her teeth were grit and her fists formed balls under her desk. (Y/N) just smiled,ignoring Susie's obvious anxiety as she sat on her spot,right beside the nervous monster.
Susie glanced from left to right,frantically eyeing her friend for some advice. To her glances Kris simply shrugged,urging her to improvise. She let out a deep breath,glaring at the human boy as she stood up. With a huff she tapped the girl on the shoulder,getting her attention.
"Can we talk?"
Kris held back as much as he could from slapping Susie then and there,has he taught her nothing?!
He facepalmed as the girl stood up from her seat and followed behind Susie,sliding his hands down his face as a muffled groarn escaped his mouth.
Susie looked behind nervously as she watched (Y/N) walk,her eyes were glued to the floor,watching the tiny steps she took. Susie led her outside,and the second they reached the still bloodstained pavement from yesterday,(Y/N) pulled out her pack and lighter,within a second a cancer stick was between her lips.
"Did I make things awkward?" Susie spat out without thinking,immediately holding her breath as she watched the human choke on smoke.
"Maybe a little bit..but honestly I forgot about it...after hours of trying."
The monster finally took in a breath of air,her lungs almost forgetting how to function after the loss of gas.
"So...is that a yes or a no...?
"It's a no." The human cracked a smile. "Get to know me before confessing your love,relationships are another thing I'm unbelievably good at wrecking."
Susie's brows knit together as she looked at the human through her fringe. What did she mean by that? The awnser was clearly out of reach for her,but her mind wouldn't let her rest.
She snapped out of her thoughts when the human threw her cigarette bud away,stepping on it.
(Y/N) stood in front of Susie,her neck almost breaking from how high she had to turn her head to look at the monster. She bobbed her head towards the school,clearly indicating that she would like to go inside,to that gesture Susie followed like a dog that just demolished your favorite shoes.
As they entered the classroom Kris was giving Susie the 'how did it go?' look,but Susie just ignored it,walking to her desk and slouching her shoulders as if her whole world crumbled down. They all sat in silence,and continued to stay silent even as the other kids started martching in,even as the bell rang,and Susie even stayed silent as Berdly taunted her for skipping half of yesterday's class.
