The Blessings

Five years later...

A five year old boy with black hair and sea green eyes sat on his father's lap as he waited for his family to appear. His father had called this meeting for something important. Percy just wasn't sure what it was. He always had this feeling that something wasn't right. For one thing, he had been invited to a council meeting. He had never been invited before. He was very intelligent for his age. He might have been only five, but he could already think on a level of a child of Athena twice his age. Of course, it helped that he was being taught by Chaos. The Primordials flashed in, looking worried. Once all of them were there, Chaos raised a hand, making them all stop talking and look at him. "We have called this meeting today to discuss something very important with you, Percy. I- I'm not your real father." Percy gasped. "Daddy, what do you mean?" Chaos sighed. "I mean, Percy, that I am indeed not your true father. We picked you up at birth to prepare you for something that will come later in your life. A prophecy was given long ago, and you are the subject. You will have to fight evil, and we wanted to help you as much as we could. Your true father is Poseidon, god of the seas." Percy's eyes widened. He had heard all about Poseidon from Chaos' stories, and he was always Percy's favorite god.

"I understand, but what do I call you?" Chaos chuckled; this kid really was loyal. "You may call me Grandpa C. Now, Percy, there is another reason why we summoned you here. We would like to give you our blessings. I take it Pontus has already taught you to control your blood-born powers?" Percy nodded. Pontus added, "Poseidon was right. He is the most powerful son of Poseidon I've ever seen, and that does include his immortal children. His earthquakes rival those of his father's and he currently would hold the record for one of the largest hurricanes ever, if he was on Earth. My Lord, why is he so powerful? The other sons of Poseidon weren't nearly as powerful. I mean, Theseus could barely control water and the most Bellerophon could do was breath underwater." Chaos sighed. "The reason he is so powerful is because he is the first child of Poseidon in centuries. When a god neglects to have children, the power builds up inside of him or her, and it all gets transferred into his or her child. Anyway, I think Percy is ready to get his other powers. One at a time, please."

Pontus stepped forward. "Percy, you can control all liquids and water in all three states. Good luck." Thalassa went next. "Percy, you can now control extremely powerful storms and you can vapor travel." Gaea raised her hand. "Percy, I give you earth manipulation and gem and metal control. I love you." "I love you too Aunt Gaea." Eros went next. "Perce, with my powers, you can charmspeak and sense emotions. Also, you get beyond godlike looks. You will still have all of your features though. They will just become more defined and stuff like that." Percy didn't understand what that meant, but he still appreciated it. Ouranos smiled at Percy. "Percy, I gift you with wind and lightning control. Use it well." Erebus grinned. "Percy, I give you darkness control, meaning you can control the level of darkness no matter how much light there is, shadow travel, and you can see in any level of darkness." Percy nodded. That would be useful. Nyx leaned over and hugged Percy. "Percy, I give you the ability to control the shadows and speak to all monsters." Percy smiled in thanks. Aether spoke up. "Perce, I gift you with control of light and fire, and you can never be blinded or burnt. Similar to your darkness control, you can control the level of light in a room as well." Percy grinned at Aether. The two had been pranking partners since Percy could walk.

Chronus raised his hand. "Percy, I give you the power to freeze time temporarily, and the powers of Kronos have no effect on you." Percy thought about that a little bit. Chronus mentioned Kronos. Maybe he's the enemy that the Great Prophecy surrounds. Percy was broken out of his thoughts when Hemera said, "Percy, I give you the power to heal wounds and sickness, and you are stronger in the daylight. I love you so much." Percy gave her a large grin. "I love you too Aunt Hemera." Last but not least was Tartarus. "Percy, I give you control over Greek and Hellfire, and immunity to curses. This means that if, for example, you were to look Medusa in the eye you would not turn to stone." Percy hugged him. "Thank you Uncle Tartarus. Thanks for all of your powers. You will still be my family, even if I am a son of Poseidon instead of Chaos." The primordials smiled lovingly.

Chaos motioned for Percy to stand in the middle of the room. "Percy, please hold still so your aunts and uncles can bless you. Then it will be my turn." Percy obliged and braced himself. Each primordial shot a ball of energy at him. After they stopped, Percy swayed on his feet, slightly dizzy. Chaos looked slightly surprised. "You are stronger than I realized. Many of the greatest heroes would have been at least on their knees from all of the power, if not passed out. Anyway, it's my turn." He smirked. "Percy, with my blessing, you gain telepathy, telekinesis, plant control, heightened senses, prophetic dreams, perfect memory, the ability to change your appearance at will, cast illusions, and manipulate emotions. All of your powers will increase one hundred fold, and you will also grow wings that you can retract into your back when you want them to. They will grow along with you."

He shot a ball of power at Percy. Midnight black wings with silver flecks that resembled stars grew out of Percy's back and he screamed in pain. The pain stopped as quickly as it came and Percy looked at the wings in wonder. He thought about them disappearing and they shrank into his back. The power level became too much and he passed out. Chaos took him to his room and set him in his bed. Chaos smiled fondly at Percy and flashed back to the council.

Hey guys! Did Percy's character seem okay? And I know Chaos' blessing is OP, but come on. He's the creator of the universe and the first ever being! What did you expect?
