The house had a calming atmosphere. Midnight was napping in her bed and Charlie was staring out the window. It was the best kind of day off.... Then why the hell was I so nervous?!
"Don't do anything I wouldn't," Nicole smirked and I rolled my eyes "damn, I wish I can get off early today, I want to meet him"
"I don't need you scaring off my boyfriend already," I sighed giving her the lunch bag
"Look at you! Bet you get all tingly saying boyfriend." She replied wiggling her eyebrows pervertedly, while putting on her jacket and resting her bag on her shoulder.
"Stop being weird and go to work," I spoke shaking my head and she chuckled "love you"
"Love you too, little sis," she replied and left.
Since then, I've been buzzing around the house; making sure everything was clean and set up for Adonis' baking lesson. Afterwards, I sat on the couch and soaked in the silence.

"Not now sweetie, I'm trying to calm my nervous." I looked down seeing her and Chance at my feet. She tilted her little head and stared attentively; Chance just stared.
"What? I already fed y'all," I said and they just stared "what do you want, hm?". Midnight hopped onto my lap and Chance managed to get onto the couch with his little legs. I smiled and scratched behind both their ears, causing Midnight to purr and Chance to lower his head in submission.
