Single Mena or Nah

From happiness to heartbreak .. I've been through so much shit over the past few years . I found love and lost love just to find love and lose it again . Maybe I'm just meant to be single .. Matter of fact I'd rather be single and live it the fuck up . No one I gotta answer to or explain shit to . I always thought that I would end up with Cyn but wayyyy too much shit happened between us . We tried to make it work but after a few weeks we decided it was better to end it . I ran into Cyn and Joe when I got back to NY . We ended up making peace between us and decided to be cool . We talk on and off every now and then .. It's nice to keep in touch with her . I used to hate the fact that she was with Joe but I'm happy that she's found happiness .

"You know I've always loved single Mena more than relationship Mena" says Albee with a smirk

I roll my eyes "Is that why you always trying to sabotage my relationships?"

He laughs "I don't sabotage .. I just try to help you see that the shit ain't right"

"Yeah whatever" 

Albee has always been my best friend and always will be .. Even though this nigga is always in my business and my relationships . After all the shit that went down with Cyn I never thought I would be able to forgive him .

"Listen this is a new start for us Erica . We are both single and living in NY... you already know how it's going down tonight"

I was living in LA until Cyn and I decided we wouldn't work out .. I needed to get away from LA so I ended up moving to Atlanta for a little bit . Atlanta was cool but I just couldn't stay out of trouble down there .. Now I'm back in NY and Albee is here with me . He wanted a fresh start after him and Broderick broke up . I really thought they were gonna last but they had a lot of shit going on too .

"Sooo I know it's not my business but since we are best friends and we do live together now ...."

"Al ... just say it" I say

"You got a text this morning while you were in the bathroom and the name that popped up was Nikki ... wassup with that?"

"Nigga why you even looking at my phone?" I say and then laugh

Albee has always been and will always be Fucking Nosey ..

"Why are you back talking to Nikki and I don't know about it ?"

"Look Nikki found out I was moving back to New York and she was coming out here for some business... She just wanted to hang out . End of story"

"Mhmm" is all he says

I roll my eyes "Whatever"

Nikki and I had a rocky friendship after everything that happened with Cyn . She had contacted me while I was in Atlanta and we talked things over . She even flew out there to see me . We did end up having sex and it was amazingggg .. But we didn't take any steps toward anything more than friends so we just been working on our "friendship" since then .. I didn't tell Al since most of the shit that happened between us was his fault .

"Look we moved here to be single and enjoy the New York life .. So that's what we're gonna do . Now go get dressed and hurry up so we can go"

LATER ON AT THE CLUB

"You got all these beautiful women all over you .. isn't the single life good ?" Says Al

"Al shut up and let me enjoy these women . Why don't you go find yourself a man" I say with a laugh

"I'm already on it" he says with a wink and then walks away

Looks like he has his eyes on somebody .. thank god . Maybe now he will leave me alone
