Captured in Time

Chapter 2: The Future

        There is another big flash and we land safely on a dirt road. "Woah, whiplash!'' I said. '' I have just learned to roll with it." Rory said back. How many times has he had to travel to the past? Or the future......? Never mind that. I start the conversation back uo by saying, " So where are we?" It takes him a second to respond. "  A little north from Trenton, New Jersey. That is where we need to go by the way." He says. "And what year is it?" I say. " 2043" He said. Oh my gosh we traveled in time! Incredible! " I'm surprised there arent any flying cars. You know since I'm from 2014 flying cars usualy signal that your in the future," I say. " You shouldn't be surprised," Rory said. I give him a confused look and he explains. " The reason why I brought you here is so you could help me stop this war. Our city has been torn apart because of it. I know you must think you're a normal guy; but you're not. My boss said you were less than a god but more than a man. He said you were more.....More powerful than the man who started this war. You're our only hope." He says.

        Now that he mentions it this place does seem like there was a bomb attack or something. We spend the next hour and a half driving in silence. I think the whole time about things like who and what started this awful war. The sound of Rory's vioce talking makes me jump a little.
