Your eyes widened and your mouth dropped as you looked at the people in front of you.

"Hi. Uh, come in, come in, it's cold."
You said quickly, regaining your senses.

"Why do you look surprised to see us?" Your guests came in and you closed the door behind them.

"Sorry, I just thought you weren't coming for another couple of hours." You replied to Normani.

"Cute outfit." Your eyes flew to Lauren's then you looked down at yourself and saw your attire and blushed in embarrassment.

"I just got out the shower." You paused. "Sorry I seemed so shocked. I didn't realise you'd be here so soon."

"Don't worry, it's fine. We all just couldn't wait to come over so we figured that we might as well make our way sooner rather than later." Ally reassured you.

"Can I get you girls anything to eat or drink?" The girls politely declined.

"So where's Tala?" Dinah asked, looking around as if trying to find her.

"She had to go into work but she just finished so she'll be here soon." Dinah nodded in response.

"Uh, I'm going to quickly get changed, then I'll give you a tour of the house."

"We'll come with." Lauren replied.

"Okay, sure. Come on." You made your way back up the stairs with Lauren and the girls behind you.

When you reached your landing, you turned left and made your way to the door at the end of the hallway. You opened it so the girls could go through it.

"This is my Mum's bedroom."

The room was one of the biggest in the house. In it was a King-sized bed which you often slept on when you woke up from a particularly bad nightmare. And displayed around the room, was a large closet full of clothes, a set of black drawers, a large mirror and TV, and a door which led to the ensuite bathroom.

"Where is she?" Camila asked.

"My family aren't around so the house is mine now." You replied vaguely.

You led them out of your Mum's room and to the door right next to it. You walked inside and were suddenly hit with a wave of emotion. You quite regularly went into your Mum's room but you hadn't been in this room for a while.

You looked around the room and saw nothing had changed. The stylish grey, Queen-sized bed was still situated in the far top right corner of the room. The desk by the door was still filled with photos, papers and small knickknacks.
Above the desk, the shelves were still filled with all of her favourite books, except there was a noticeable gap where one specific book should be.

The large purple bean bag chairs were still in the middle of the room, facing the flat screen TV where you both used to play video games and watch old movies together.

You quickly wiped a betraying tear that had fell from your eye and you turned to face the girls.

"This is Evie's room. My goofball of an older sister."

You saw their faces displayed look of sadness and you remembered that you had told them who Evie was when you were in their dressing room.

"We were both so competitive. Think we got that off of Mum. I can't tell you how many nights we stayed up playing against each other. Whether it was a video game or a game of cards." You laughed lightly at the memories. "That girl could beat you with her eyes closed."

"She sounds fun."

You looked up to meet Lauren's green eyes and saw they were narrowed in understanding.
