Chapter 9

The original version of chapter 9 ( old book) I hated it, there was a few things in it but I Can't believe I wrote that,

You were tired, Bakura had been coughing all night and he was no better, the fact he was trying to act normal made it worse." Bakura I'm getting you medicine, you stay here" you said getting your bag, A loud thump echoed behind you, Bakura had fallen off the bed," don't leave me!" He wined," I'll be back I promise" you said helping him back into the bed, " I promise ok" he nodded in response and curled into the blankets, you walked downstairs and out the door, following the trail to town.

You saw Yami and Yugi,"y/n!"yugi said skipping over to you" Bakura isn't with you, is everything ok?" He asked, Yami followed him slowly," he's sick so I'm getting medicine for him," you said smiling," I didn't think a powerful spirit like himself could get sick," Yami said darkly, yugi looked at him with a blank expression ," just because you don't like him doesn't mean y/n can't love him" yugi said looking at you apologetically.

You said your goodbyes and walked into town more, you saw Sabrina walking to you," fuck" you cursed as she neared," hey, jewel " she said keeping step with you," not my name" you said wishing the store would be closer," yeah and fuck ain't mine but you don't see me complaining, it's about Marik," she said changing her tone to a low one," I don't know what he's doing but his sister is not doing well," she said fearfully," Ishziu? Is she ok?" You asked as you slowed your pace," no, Melvin and Rishid can't figure it out" Sabrina said, her face showed many emotions," Melvin?" You asked," " look he can find things really fast, you need a page in a book, he will find it" she spoke with a hint of pride that went back to worry," whatever it is, it's not good, and I think he's trying to bring something back too," you looked at her fearfully, remembering the time she almost killed you trying to bring back something from her past, " look, I know I messed up, Marion has forgiven me, and so has everyone else, Bakura and Yami are on better terms for gods sake, But im not asking for you to forgive me, I just want you to be safe, I don't know what's happening but it's going to affect you and Bakura the most," she said rambling a bit," how can I trust you, you tried to kill me " you said facing her, she sighed," but Bakura almost killing Ryou and Marion don't bother you? Yami and his fire addiction, Melvin stabbing people, I almost killed you, yes and I admit it, but please, y/n don't get yourself killed ok, just call me, I'll be there " she said before disappearing

You stood there for a minute before heading to the store, Joey was there," oh hey y/n, looking for medicine too?" He asked as you neared," yeah, Bakura got sick, " you explained, he helped you look for cold medicine" ya know,  I always thought Bakura was a bad guy, but after he sent Sabrina, his childhood friend, to the shadow realm, just for you, my opinions on him are different now" Joey said as you found the medicine, " thanks Joey, I'm glad some of our opinions have changed" you said smiling, Joey nodded," yeah even Melvin is ok, little crazy but more human I guess" Joey joked, " yeah he is crazy but means well," you said waving goodbye and returning to your home

About a quarter way back you heard meowing, you thought Bakura but he didn't meow, not yet at least, you moved a few branches to see a large black and white cat, it was dead, near it were two small kittens, a fluffy black one with green eyes and bold white stripes, the other was pure white with ice blue eyes and black stripes, " Bakura did say he wanted a cat," you mused picking them up and placing them in your jacket pockets, they purred and meowed, you quickly buried the dead cat and went home, trying to keep the kittens from escaping their jacket pocket home.
You opened to door to see Bakura near the door way asleep, he actually waited for you, you put the kittens down and watched them explore, putting the medicine down, you turned around to he Bakura holding the kittens in his arms," is this what holding children is like" he said as the black one pawed at his face, " I found them outside, and I knew you wanted a cat" you explained," I have two, one for me and one for you" he said releasing them, " the black one is shadow and the white one is realm," he said walking to you," great names for a king of darkness," you teased getting his medicine ready, " you know where flattery will get you," he said opening his mouth slightly, to either kiss or bite you, lifting the spoon of medicine you put it in his mouth, the amount of confusion and betrayal on his face was priceless," get better before you try kissing me " you said as he took it, he glared at you and sat down," you'll be better soon, " you said petting him, he purred softly

Bakura was much better, turns out he could heal whatever with the ring but needed medicine to help it along, you dubbed him safe to hug at least, he also wrote a prom thing he was keeping away from you," SIR I WANNA SEE" you giggled laying on him struggling to reach the paper, Bakura grumbled as he dropped the paper, Shadow and Realm relaxed on a pillow watching your antics. You grabbed the paper and read it out loud, "Battered heart, torn soul, in the darkness he lives, yet the light drives out darkness by its mere presence" bakura was laying on the bed face first, a low cat sound sounded from him," I never knew you could write like that, and your handwriting is beautiful" you said laying next to the man. He grumbled," I'm glad im your light " you said hugging him, he hugged you tightly, " if anything happened to you, I would kill everyone in the room and then myself " Bakura said," well good thing I'm here to stay," he nodded.
