The sorry eyes created waterfalls of tears as the blood soaked corpses of three royal guards sit in front of her. "What did I do? Why did you get in the way of me during the escape? How did I live and you didn't? When will this end? Who can stop me now that you are gone?" The deep and crushing fear left her hopeless, the blood had stained her claws and mouth. "Are you alright, Miss?" A young boy had placed his paw on her shoulder, "Whats wrong? Did something happen?" She whips around quickly, the kit jumps, surprised by the sudden reaction. "Wh- who are y-y-you?" Her eyes damp with the fur soaked by blood and tears. "My name is Leo, I am a half-breed. You look like me... Who are you, Miss?" A short silence sits in the shallow room, "Dabiru... I am Dabiru. I am a half-breed as well."
It has been a year since Dabiru and Leo met, Leo is now 14, Dabiru is 16. They have been taking care of each other, Leo thinks of Dabiru to be more than just a friend, he doesn't realize she feels the same about him. He is waiting for the right moment to ask her, Dabiru wants to ask before it's too late.
