Place: Nikita's dream

Screams ripped through the air, soaring like a hawk caught in a wind current. My ears were ringing with the sound of pain. One scream in particular called to me. It was female. I ran faster towards her, the forest blurred past me in striped of dark green and brown. I came to a rocky area. Still moving at top speeds, I came to a cliff and slid to a stop, tearing up the forest floor. There was a massive battle in the field below me. Vampires, mages, lycanthropes, humans, and several other species I have never seen before. The vampires looked to be fighting with the lycanthropes, humans, and mages against the strange creatures and dark mages.

My eyes landed on her. She was wrestling out of the grip of what looked like a horse-man, he held her firmly as another approached with a heavy sword. Instinct kicked in and I launched myself off of the cliff, straight into the blood-ridden battle. I wove at high speed through the battle, taking out anything that I assumed was an enemy. The horse-man was raising his sword to bury it in her chest.

Once more, I launched myself forward and ripped the left shoulder off of the horse-man. He dropped his sword and cried out in pain. It wasn't soon enough for him though, I ripped his head off within the second. She took a chance and flung her head back, into the throat of the horse-man. He loosened his grip, stunned, and she dropped forward, grabbed the sword and drove it into him. The horse-man dropped.

She turned to me, her brilliant blue eyes stood out against the crimson blood that was spattered on her face, "Thanks, wolf," she said teasingly, "Centaurs are irritating. Now we gotta find the source of this soon. Our casualties level is too high for my comfort."

I nodded in agreement, but she wouldn't understand anything I say in wolf form. I sighed heavily, and looked around me. The noise of battle almost drowned out every other sound. My eyes kept looking. I wasn't sure who I was looking for but I knew he wasn't here yet. he was running late.

With a grunt, I continued through the battle. There almost seemed to be no end. I didn't notice until then that other voices swirled in my head. It was other lycan alphas directing commands. I pushed it aside and pushed further forward. A bright green light came flying at me from the left. I howled in pain as it smashed into my rear leg. It began to burn, revoking any use in my leg. A few seconds later, a blue light flew again in my direction. It cooled the burn. and healed me.

I looked in the direction of the blast. He was here now. His honey colored eyes stood out beautifully against his black hair. A feeling I didn't recognize filled me. Along with terror. he was on the back of a beast only of myth. I couldn't believe my eyes at the sight that lay before me. He was on the back of a white dragon.

Dropping from more than twenty-five meters, he landed beside me and stroked the fur near my muzzle affectionately. "Sorry I was late," he said, "Air currents suck."

I laughed to myself. "We need to find the source," I said telepathically.

He nodded in full understanding, "I saw it when I was in the air. The doors are inside of the castle and heavily guarded by the forsaken beings. It will be very difficult to get to it. We need to shove this battle into our favor. The dragons should help a lot with that."

I just nodded, "I am hoping so."

He laughed and stroked my fur again, "I will win this battle for you, my sweet love."

A feeling rippled through me once more, "Let's do this."

"Argh, you fish lovin' bastard," a heavily accented voice called out. I recognized it, but didn't know who it was. "Turn to the left ya deaf piece of bird."

I looked up to see a short, wide shouldered, dirty blonde haired man wielding a battle axe on the back of a blue dragon. "Aye, ya furry one," he said to me, "The water lickin' bat here can't hear a damned thing I speak."

I laughed at him as he rode away. A dark shadow was suddenly cast upon the field. I turned around and looked up in terror at the sight before me
