...Sam's POV...
Katie pushed herself off if me, and ran her hand through her hair, what the fuck just happened? "Devin..." Katie turned to her, "What're you doing here?"
I sat with my arms around my waist, Devin, supposedly that was her name, looked at me with her eyes furrowed staring at me confused and hurt. I looked away from her pitiful stare.
Katie looked at me, then back at Devin. I stood up, holding my head high, "You must not know what to say," I grabbed my things quickly, then headed towards the door. I stopped my Devin, "I'm sorry," I looked down at my feet. this beautiful woman. Her elegance radiated from her like a heavy energy. Her blonde hair up in a bun, and her suit with heels made me look pitiful in comparison. "I didn't know..."
I shook my head as tears ran down my cheeks, I clenched my jaw, and wales out of the door. I heard Katie open it behind me, "Sam, please, wait." She grabbed my wrist, I yanked it away. I turned and glared into her eyes out faces inches apart.
"What, what could you possibly have to say right now?" Tears in her eyes, her lips moved but nothing came out. "You have 5 seconds to spit something out."
She out her hand on my arm, her composure broken, "It's not like that," she shook her head, eyes watery, "She isn't what you think."
"Then who is she Katie? Why was she so heart broken? Why does she have a key to your house?" My voice was getting louder and louder.
She couldn't find the words to say, I looked in her eyes. I was hurt, and it just felt like my heart was ripped out all over again, shattered. I have her a few moments to answer and when she didn't, I walked away.
It was late and my phone was dead, I had to walk all the way home, as I didn't care. I had to gather myself, and get everything situated in my heart, to cover it and shield it, and slowly mend it back together.
Who needed her anyways? Who needed anybody? I clenched my jaw as I clomped down the steep hill of her driveway, tears rolling down my face. Fuck her, fuck everybody who's taken advantage of me. I wiped my face off, and crossed my arms across my chest as I got to the bottom of the hill. I saw headlights behind me, and the familiar purr of her car.
"Sam," she pulled up next to me. "Sam,please, let me explain." I didn't look at her I kept walking. I could feel more tears spilling over my eye lids. Her car stopped in front of my blocking my path in the side of the road. I walked by the passenger side and kept going. She was quickly on my heels. "Sam!"
She pulled me around by my arm, "What do you want," I almost screamed in her ace, my voice think from my tears, and my body shaking from the cold.
"Get in the car." Though the offer sounded like a good idea, I wasn't going to give in. "You're going to get sick, get in."
I looked away from her, "No, I wrapped my arms around my waist, holding myself together.
