Beach Host Disaster part 4

Flashback

3rd Person

"Rei let's race to the bottom of that cliff over there." the voice of a little 6 year old girl said. 6 year old Rei let out a giggle of excitement before agreeing to the girl's request.

The two were at the beach with Rei's manager Shira, who was talking to the photographer for Rei's beach themed photoshoot in Hawaii, was too busy to notice the the two girls running off. Mina, the little girl also Rei's best friend, whined with a pout as Rei beat her to the cliff. "Humph, that's not fair! You cheated!" Mina said with an adorable pout on her lips and arms crossed as she watched Rei dance around in victory.

Her eyes scanned the area before she got another idea. Mina beamed at Rei who had finished her little dance before saying "I know. Let's race to the top of the cliff now!" This finally grabbed Rei's full attention as she looked up at the huge horrifying cliff that the waves viciously crashed against.

"I-I don't think that's a good idea. Maybe we should go back, the shoot is gonna resume soon and your mom is gonna wonder where we are." Rei said trying to change her best friend's mind but that only seemed to add intensity to the little girl's request.

Mina smirked up at Rei with a wide grin. "Oh really? Are you sure it's not because your a big chicken that's afraid to lose to me?" she mocked knowing how much of a competitor Rei was. Rei could only sigh before looking back to where the crew and her manager were still talking and looking back at the cliff.

'Maybe one little race won't hurt.' She thought before nodding in agreement to Mina's request. Said girl just squealed before grabbing Rei's hand and lining up with her at the bottom at the cliff. "Ok, ready, set......GO!!!" Mina screamed before the two dashed up the mountainous thirty feet cliff.

As expected Rei won again because she was more of an athlete than Mina. Again a panting Mina began to throw the biggest tantrum Rei had witnessed through their one year friendship. One thing that both girls were clearly forget was their location, but it was too late to do anything as Mina slipped off the edge of the cliff, but had luckily grabbed onto a thick branch below the cliff.

"Hold on!" Rei yelled but was cut off by a pure shriek of horror. It was her manager also Mina's mom.

"OH MY GOD MINA!!!" the woman yelled as she and the crew members watched the dangling child. "HANG ON TIGHT SWEETIE!!! MOMMY'S GONNA SAVE YOU!!!" she screamed before pushing and yelling at a few crew members to go save her.

"Rei." the little girl mummbled looking up at her best friend who had tears in her eyes at the sight. "I'm sorry for dragging you into this." She continued with tears streaking down her face. Rei could only stay silent with her tears now pouring as well.

The branch made a slight cracking noise as it bendt slightly sending a little jolt to Mina's tiny body. Said girl looked up at Rei again "I-I can't hold on. I'm scared Rei. Help me!" she screamed as the branch bent more and more. Rei just stood ther petrified. the crew members who were sent to help Mina were only halfway up the cliff since they had to carry equipment to reach the aforementioned.

"I-I d-don't know wha-what to do." Rei replied, her body seriously shaking. "You don't have to do anything Rei-" Mina said with a sad smile and tears still running down down her face. The crew had just arrived and were setting up the climmbing equipment on on the men to send him down to Mina.

"W-what do you mean?" Rei asked her friend. "Just tell mommy I said....I'm sorry." Mina said before letting go of the branch and falling into the raging waves of water and slight rocks crashing against the cliff with them. That was the end of Choi Mina.
