[Ri Hyun's POV]
"Hey guys! There's a party this weekend you're all invited!" A student from the class next door yelled into our class. The entire class erupted in loud shrieks and screams of excitement. The term breaks are coming and everyone is pretty much into the holiday mood. So am I actually.
"Ri Hyun, you're coming right?! Of course you are! Who am I kidding?" Jaerin giggles, the excitement sparkling brightly in her eyes. I roll my eyes but couldn't help the smile from spreading across my face. After swinging my bag over my shoulder I stuffed my books into the lockers before shutting them and making my way home. Jaerin trailed after me, holding on the strap of the bag as she struggles to keep up.
"Are you heading home straight?" I ask her, grabbing the books from her hands to lighten the load. She gave me a grateful smile before nodding—
"My mom wants me to read up on stuff." Jaerin mutter unhappily, crossing her arms as she pouts. We walked in silence for a while before she breaks it again.
"The party's next weekend, so we're gonna have to buy—"
"We're not buying clothes Jaerin. I'm wearing what I have." I cut her off firmly but Jaerin doesn't listen.
"Oh no you're not," She shot back. "It's a party. A party. You can't just go around wearing old clothes. And that reminds me. We haven't had a day out for quite a while now." She mutter thoughtfully.
I stare at her for a while before turning my attention back to the path in front of me. "You're saying you wanna have a 'date'?"
She snaps her head to me, her eyes full of hope. "Can we? We can have a makeover though I seriously think you'll be needing them. We can also do manicure and get some clothes as well," Jaerin paused, letting me digest the information. "So?"
I don't honestly mind having a makeover, it's only for fun and besides, Jaerin's been bugging me about it for a while now, so I guess it's fine. The clothes in my wardrobe are in fact getting a little old so maybe getting some new ones wouldn't be such a bad idea too. "Sounds. . .great."
"Awesome! It's a deal!"
"Sure." I grin at her, nodding at her excitement. When it comes to appearance and stuff, I trust Jaerin a 100%.
"I'm home." I call out quietly, stepping out of my shoes. The house was eerily quiet so I made no sound as I walk up to my room. A familiar emotion surges through me as I walk pass Taehyung's room, and I stop walking. My eyes were glued to the door and I bite down on my lip, contemplating. Now that I think about it, it's been almost a week since I've last spoke to him. It was bugging me a lot and I tend to loose focus as my mind drift off to him. Now I just want to end this cold war.

"Remind me why I'm here again?" I groan, forcing myself to take another step towards the next shop. My hands are currently full of bags from about, what, six different shops? But she insists on buying one based entirely on the party. Jaerin barged into my room at 7 today and kicked me off my bed forcing me awake. Though I was grateful with the fact that she made breakfast, Jaerin made me shop with her for three hours without a break. This girl is insane.
"Party's starting at eight today and it's only two o'clock." I added.
"Ri Hyun, we have only six hours to get ready. It's not enough. We still haven't gotten you a dress, your makeover isn't done yet!" Jaerin gasp dramatically at me, her hand flying up to her chest. She didn't give me a chance to respond before walking straight into the next shop. I roll my eyes at her groaning, trailing after her. "It's not a date. It's only a party."
