Taehyung hops down into the sofa and his weight cause me to bounce up from my seat. The laptop falls off my lap and I scowl at him before placing it back on my lap and continue typing.

He only smirks at me and turns back to his phone, sitting on the sofa sloppily. "Guess what. Jimin suggests all of us go on a date."

"Wow, he must be excited," I laugh, not looking away from the screen. "Jiminie is the last to have a girlfriend."

"Why do you keep calling his nickname?" Taehyung pouts at me and I roll my eyes—

"Cause it's cute."

"My nickname is cute too!" He says, clearly unhappy.

"Okay, Yeah. TaeTae is pretty cute too, okay?" I chuckle, hitting the enter button on my keyboard.

"So the date."

"Oh uh, gotta check my schedule, Tae. When is it again?" I mumble, my fingers still fumbling around the keyboard busily.

Taehyung didn't reply me and instead sighs, leaning back against the sofa facing me, an evident pout on his face. "I know the medical course you applied for is your wish and I know you like it. But did you realise lately you don't even have time for anything? You eat while studying and rarely even have a goodnight's sleep."

I stop typing, my mind slowly processing his words. It's all true. Ever since we graduated from high school, the course I took in college was medicine and the workload gets heavier each day. We haven't been to any dates anymore because we were both too busy with our future, Taehyung planning to take over his dad's job in business and me, becoming a doctor.

Being a doctor was just a mere thought that came to me but over the few days while choosing the courses, I realised how I wanted to help people get over their lives from abuse, just like what I've been through. I wanted to be the person who saved others from their mental struggles, just like the someone who was there for me.

All along, it's been the one I love.

Shutting my laptop close and putting it away, I climb onto his lap and he groans in pain, causing me to giggle. I lock my arm around his neck and lean my head into his chest, breathing in deeply. The familiarity and comfort that his scent gave me caused tears to prick the back of my eyes.

It's true. I never had time for him.

"I'm sorry Tae. Sorry I didn't notice."

Taehyung breathes out and I feel his hand reach the back of my head, his fingers massaging my scalp. "It's fine. I know how much you wanted to achieve your dream."

I look up to his eyes and take in a shaky breath, hoping he wouldn't notice. "Let's go on the date."

He looks at me skeptically, his hands falling to his sides. "You sure? What about—"

"I'll cancel all of them. Studying can't always get the best of me, you know." I stick out a tongue and he chuckles, running a hand through his hair.

"I'll tell them." He says, pressing his forehead against mine and I smile.

Taehyung's eyes flicker down to my lips and back to my eyes, causing the grin on my face to widen. I lean in, my arms tightening around his neck as our lips connect. Moving rhythmically, he presses his lips harder against mine causing my body to mould into his. Slowly, I feel his tongue forcing its way through my lips and a tingling sensation runs down my spine yet the feeling was so addictive. Our tongues touch, he bites my lip and rolls his tongue over it again. His hand on my waist tightens and so did mine.

Then we pull away gasping for air. I stare at his swollen lips and notice mine was exactly like his and my cheeks start to burn. Taehyung chuckles at my expression and I look down, finding myself smiling.

"It's been quite a while Ri Hyun," He whispers. "But it gets better each time."

I slap his shoulder and move away from him, adjusting myself so I'm lying on his lap. I reach for the schedule book on the table and look through it, now realising how much I've been cramming everything in one to two days.

"It's decided. We'll be going on a date the next after tomorrow, which is a Saturday." He says, locking his phone and turning down to me.

"Okay," I nod. "I'll reschedule everything that day."

"Thanks for the sacrifice, Ri Hyun." He massages my scalp again lovingly and I smile, grabbing a pen and cancelling everything.

"What about you, Tae? Don't you have meetings and stuff?"

"Yeah, but I'll cancel them." He says casually and relax against the sofa.

"Ri Hyun! You made it!" Tzuyu shrieks with excitement and squeezes me into a hug, the other girls following. Tzuyu is Jungkook's girlfriend who he talks a lot about. If I remember correctly, they met because their moms are best friends, sparked interest, then yeah. Tzuyu is exceptionally pretty and Jungkook isn't the only guy who likes her. However they make a visual couple so many people encouraged their relationship. How lucky.

Jimin's girlfriend is a Japanese but moved to Korea about two years ago because of her parents' job. She goes by the name Momo, and I found it rather cute. Jimin and Momo are a really cute couple and they are really, really talented. They met at a dance competition happened to be partners and they bonded a lot during that time.

Seokjin met this girl named Mina during high school at senior year because their class had this little 'thing' where they judge the class' top visuals. Apparently, they got paired up a lot and eventually, they begin to bond.

Namjoon was the president of the school's council committee in senior year and there was once he faced quite a struggle with school. Jihyo was the vice president and she help him a lot through everything which led them to who they are now.

Although Yoongi seemed really cold and shuts people out a lot, he actually has a soft spot for people he really cares about. When he met this girl named Nayeon during high school, this guy is seriously whipped for her. Nayeon helped Yoongi open up a little more and now he talks a little bit more than usual but it's not like any of us are complaining.

Hoseok talks about Dahyun a lot and it's clear how much he likes her. They met during a project and ends up talking too much, leading them to a complicated yet romantic relationship.

The girls and I met when all of us agreed to meet up at a seven people date once. We became a lot closer and even formed our own little squad.

After a walk in the park, at the amusement park, a visit to the haunted house and a quick stop for a ice cream, the day ended before we knew it. Today was a bunch of laughter and load of fun that I haven't experienced in a while, so I really cherish it.

Taehyung and I walk home with my arm slung around his and he hugs me close to him, a goofy smile on his face. When I asked, he only says 'nothing' , and 'I love you'. It made me smile of course, and I have to admit, this year was a the best Valentines Day I've ever had.
