"Felix, come on, pretty please go on this ride with me!?" Your boyfriend Felix has taken you on a fun date to Disneyland, you were so excited when he told you, because you've never been to Disneyland before. You love all the wild rides but Felix doesn't. You want him to go with you but he just won't give in.
"Baby I can't, it's too scary" you frown and walk away from the ride you wanted to go on, Felix takes your hand and whispers sorry.
"Eh it's ok" you smile at him. You realize that he has been acting a little weird today, he's been a little distant, and it's worrying you.
"Hon are you okay" you stop in your tracks and look up at Felix with worry. He looks down, as if he's trying to hold something back.
"Yeah I'm fine honey" he looks back at you with a hopeful smile. You smile back and keep on walking. You are speechless from all the beauty in the place, all the happiness, you wonder 'why isn't Felix seeing all this?'. You guys sit down on a bench in front of Sleeping Beauty's castle.
"This is so beautiful" Felix says as he finally starts to take in all the beauty.
"I know right" as the moon starts to rise, the sky gets darker, and people start to leave. The whole time you guys have been at the one and only Disneyland, you haven't been on one ride, because Felix is too scared.
"Babe, please can we go on that ride, their is only one drop at the end, not too scary?" Felix considers this for a moment, he stands up, takes your hand, and walks in the direction of the side. You squeal of excitement.
"Aw thank you thank you thank you! You won't regret it!" Felix smiles at you. You can tell that he is still nervous, but he is still doing this for you. When you get to the ride no one is in line, you smile and walk to the little walkway to the entrance. Felix sighs and follows you. When you guys get the tickets you get in the same carriage. Felix hesitates to sit, but he does anyway. You smile, and buckle your self in.
"Okay guys, now keep all your bags and personal items at your feet, at no time can you unbuckle yourself from the ride for that will lead to serious injuries. Have fun and enjoy the ride" A woman says in monotone. She presses a button that makes the ride start slowly. You and Felix are the only ones on the ride. You look at Felix, who is holding on the the railing in front of him as if his life depended now it. You giggle.
"Felix, it's okay!" You yell over the grumbling engine. Felix nods nervously.
"I think there's a photo at the end, let's buy it!?" You yell, Felix nods.
As it gets to the end of the ride, you know that you guys are about to encounter the drop. You look at Felix, who is literally sweating. You put your hand on his thigh, he looks at you and smiles.
"Make sure you do a silly face for the camera!" You giggle. He tries to laugh but it comes out as a small sob. You giggle. The ride starts to go up slowly. Preparing for the drop, you giggle.
"Here we go!" You start to see the drop coming closer and closer. And finally it comes. You see the flash of light taking the photo.
"OMFG AGHHHH" Felix screams, you crack up laughing when the drop finishes and the ride comes to an end.
"That was so much fun! Lets go see our photo!" You say, getting out of the ride. Felix slowly gets out, almost shaking. You laugh and take his sweaty hand. You fast walk to the tv's that have the photos. When you see it your heart stops, your absolutely speechless. You hear Felix giggling behind you. On the photo is Felix holding up a sign that says 'Will you marry me?!'. You turn to look at him, your cheeks hurt from smiling so much.
"So, what's the answer?" You run over to him and smash your lips to his.
"Yes yes yes yes yes!!" You giggle. He takes your hand, grabs a box from his pocket, opens it, inside it is a beautiful diamond ring.
"*sighs* Where did you get the money for this?!" You say.
"Shhhh" he says as he slides the ring on your ring finger. You smile at him, tears filling your eyes. He pulls you into a hug. And now you know that your future with him is gonna be truly amazing.
