Carroll had never seen such a mess. She had fallen asleep for only an hour and their compartment had since then seemed as though it had exploded. It was ridiculous.
"What the bloody hell happened while I was out?"
"Well, Lee here thought he could take us on. One on two."
"A... a prank war? Are you two serious? And you didn't wake me up?"
Lee looked surprisedly over at the young first year before saying,
"I... I almost had them..."
Carroll sighed as she patted his arm. "Sure you did, Lee. Sure you did."
With one last look around the trashed compartment, she excused herself to find the trolley lady.
As she walked down the hall she realized that she could tip the balance in favor of Lee. She knew Fred and George's antics afterall... why couldn't she?
But abandon her childhood friends for someone she had met only hours ago?
Soon enough she was at the end of the train, looking out at the wide expanse of scenery that was racing by. She leaned on the window to better look out without realizing that the window was not indeed locked. It flew open and she nearly fell out of the scarlet train had it not been for someone grabbing the back of her shirt just in time.
As she was pulled back into the car, she turned to see who had grabbed her and caught a glimpse of a very panicked looking Lee.
"A-are you okay?"
Carroll smiled up at him before dusting herself off.
"Yes quite fine, thank you. That would have been a nasty fall."
He nervously rubbed the back of his neck before saying,
"George thought you should know that we'll be there soon and that you should probably get in your robes."
She nodded solemnly at his words before grabbing his arm and pulling him back down the corridor.
"George is right. I never thought I'd say those words out loud but oh well."
She quickly walked Lee back to the compartment before he stepped in and went,
"She nearly fell off the train."
Carroll tittered at him before correcting,
"I nearly feel out a window. BUT Lee caught me so I'm fine. By the way Angel-"
Her words were interrupted as the car erupted in worried shouting, laughing, and surprised motherly scolding.
"GUYS IS THAT THE CASTLE IS THAT HOGWARTS?" Carroll hung herself quickly out the window, gaping at the majestic castle looming out of the trees and hills.
Her moment was short lived however as she was quickly yanked back into the compartment and scolded again for hanging out windows.
"Carroll you're going to get yourself killed if you keep doing that."
