Author's Note:

I'm super sorry, because, although this chapter is vital to the continuation of the story, it's incredibly short. I'm not impressed with my abilities right now, but this is what you're getting.

The chapter is very informational, it gives a rundown of what's happened according to Lyndsey, and gives some serious news. It's just short, and I hate that. One of my goals was to never have a short chapter, and here it is.

IN SERIOUS NEWS. I have reached 100 fans. How, I have no clue, so please don't ask. However, seeing as I have, I want to know what you guys want me to do. Obviously, something should be done. CHOICES FOLLOW.

a) actually start those one shots I've promised for ages..

b) mass upload (will not include Ecstasy; information in a post soon. Promise).

c) an about me sort of thing (kay, that doesn't sound very interesting, but someone suggested it, so I thought I'd offer. I'm kind of nuts. It could be funny.)

d) any combination of what was said above and/or something you suggest.

Let me know what you guys think!

This chapter is dedicated to Dani4597 because she successfully distracted me for ages, but she also made me laugh several times. She also gave me contact with a (supposedly) crazy good editor, so you should thank her and check out her stories.

LOVE YOU HOES.

Forever random,

Alexis.(:

xx

August 5th and 6th were downright uneventful for the Jacobs family. Lyndsey was back on track with Justin, her laundry was caught up, and she was well on her way to the end of a good book by the time Monday evening rolled around. Anastasia was on her way home from a particularly long day at work when Lyndsey’s cell phone began to ring. Abby looked up drowsily from her spot on the couch, where she was watching a movie just as Lyndsey jumped up and walked to the kitchen to answer it.

“Hello?” Lyndsey answered, a questioning tone in her voice due to the unknown number. Her voice cracked slightly, due to the under use from a day spent with only Abby.

    “Lyndsey?”

“Yes. Who is this?” Lyndsey asked, sitting down on the island in the middle of her kitchen.

“This is Allison, from the Make-A-Wish foundation. I hope you don’t mind me taking this case outside of work, but I did,” Allison explained quickly.

“Oh no, it’s totally fine,” Lyndsey assured, her back shooting up at the mention of “Make-A-Wish.”

“I was just touched, because you were calling so late on. I wanted to know more about it, but couldn’t bring myself to call until now,” Allison explained herself once more.

Lyndsey quickly looked into the living room, where her sister was teetering the line between consciousness and unconsciousness. “Allison, do you mind waiting just a second?”

“No, sure. Go ahead, I’ll wait as long as you need,” Allison assured the younger girl.

Lyndsey walked over to her sister, letting her know she was stepping outside before sitting down on her front porch.

It was nice out, the sun setting slowly, creating a cool atmosphere warmed with the orange and reds of the sunset. “Alright, I’m back,” Lyndsey answered quietly.
