Kill me, I have finals this week but I decided to update this book... (༎ຶོ—༎ຶོ)

Prologue Of The Beginning

Third person

A girl, who looked to be the age of ten, laid on a bed in a sterile white covered room. Apparently this room was in a hospital, the girl slept with a peaceful face but in her mind it was anything but. She suddenly bolted up, screaming as sweat and tears ran down her face. A doctor and nurse who heard the noise and was close by ran into the room and straight towards the screaming girl. They did their best to calm her down, but when her arm started to morph, they knew they had to use drastic measures. So, the nurse went and got a syringe that had a strange light blue liquid that was ready and close by incase of situations like this.

The doctor held down the girl as the nurse plunged the thin needle into her soft pale skinned arm. A few moments pass and the girls struggles and cries soon died down. The girl's arm that was half way morphed, and had a mangled shape and black hair sprouting out, slowly turned back into a normal human arm. The male doctor sighed and looked up to the older female, "go call him...inform him of the situation and get this child help."

The nurse nodded in response and rushed to make a phone call after getting rid of the now empty syringe. The doctor spared one final worried glance to the small tear stained face of the child before walking out to talk care of the other patients.

Kaiya

I had awoken from another nightmare and lashed out, that's all I remembered. The next thing I knew was that I woken up in the same bed and room that I have come to familiarize myself with over the 2 grueling months of staying in the mental ward of a hospital. I was here for....reasons. I didn't want to think back to what happened, I'm already traumatized from it so why make myself even more miserable. My sister had already gotten that covered.

I sat up in the bed that had been altered to suit my needs and size. I swung my legs over one side of the bed and hopped off, making my way to the bathroom. I went straight for the sink and vanity that had a stool propped up next to it, allowing me access. Up on the stool I could see my reflection staring back at me from the large mirror. My midnight raven hair contrasted to my pale complection on already white skin. Many bags rested under my dark blue lifeless eyes. I didn't look like this before. No, in fact I was the opposite. But life had to just throw a curveball my way and have it smack my face, breaking it.

I ignored my looks and proceeded to get ready for the day. I brushed my hair and teeth, took a shower, got dressed, and ate some more of the hospital's surprisingly good food. I sat back on the bed and waited for the doctor to come and give me one of the usual checkups. But after waiting for what seemed like hours, the doctor didn't come by. Instead a mouse like creature slid the doors open and walked towards me.

He was a white mouse with a suit and tennis shoes on and a scar going over his beady right eye. I then remembered that I had seen this creature once before, around the time when I had first been emitted to the hospital. The mouse looked up to me and spoke, "Hello Kaiya, are you well today?"

"...." He has asked me a question, but I didn't answer. I was too focused on his appearance, like I was when we first meet, and why he would want to see me.

"Would you like to know why I'm here?" He asked again with his chipper voice. I gave a solid nod, showing him that I would like to know, though I already have an idea as to why. But I let him speak anyways to confirm or push down my hypothesis. "Well..." He started as he hopped up on the bed next to me, "...it seems as though the doctors have done all the can for you here. They want re-introduce you to society and hopefully, help with the rest of your rehabilitation and night terrors. And they want me to look after you in the meantime while you recuperate."

I thought I would just be leaving...I thought to myself. I stared as the mouse continued to talk about where I would live, what would be told to the public, what school I would go to; which was UA—wait, UA?! I looked at the mouse creature in shock, and that was the most emotion I have shown anyone since arriving to this place. I was very confused, the entrance exams have already passed and I can't get in without it or a recommendation. Everyone knew this, so, why? Was he that important of a person to be able to get a 10 year old girl into a school full of prestigious students?

The mouse looked at my reaction and gave a hearty, light filled laugh, "are you shocked at the fact that I am able to get you into UA?" He asked me with his forever smile tracing his mouth. I nodded as confusion was still plastered on my face.

"Well," he started, "my name is Nezu, and I'm the principal of UA..." What?! He's the infamous principal of that school?! "...And I have decided to allow you into the school with a recommendation, truly surprising for someone your age, and you will be going to enter class A-3. The reason why I'm doing so is because it was the class your sister was apart of," I physically flinched at his words and my face paled more than it already was, "this is to help you rehabilitate. It will also help you to be around people who are kind and help you get out of that shell of yours."

  My sister's classmates...wonder what they're like...

The strange mouse man, Nezu, jumped off the bed and held his paw out for me to take, "come now, it's time to go home." Home...that's a word I haven't heard of for a long time now. A place to go back to, a place filled with warmth and people who care about you and you the same, a place where one can feel relaxed and like they belong...One word that has so many meanings and yet it's also not just a place.

I slid of the bed, not taking his hand, and walked up to him. I bent my knees slightly, due to the difference in height, and gave him a hug. I wrapped my small arms around his equally small stature and buried my face into his shoulder as my body was wracked with shaking as I tried to keep tears at bay. Nezu didn't hesitate to return the gesture to me. Thank you...for giving me another chance...
