The brightness in the room is what woke me up at nine in the morning. I could hear Erica moving around, so I swung my legs over the side of the bed and sat up.

"You okay over there?" She asked, knowing damn well she was the reason I was awake.

Groaning, I dragged myself over to the bathroom. My entire body ached and all I really wanted to do was crawl back into that warm bed and sleep. Unfortunately, I knew that I couldn't. Check out would be soon and we had to get home. I had to be back at work first thing in the morning.

"You're awfully quiet this morning, Claire." I could hear her say from the next room.

"I'm still tired! I haven't had any coffee yet! What do you expect?" I walked out of the bathroom and picked up my overnight bag. Leaning down, I pulled some clean clothes, along with my toothbrush and toothpaste out, before walking back into the bathroom to shower. Peeling the dress from my body, I could see fresh bruises and what appeared to be bite marks along my neck and chest. There were even more on the inside of my thigh. 'Oh wow!' was all I could say getting in the shower.

Once I was out and dried off, I got dressed. What the hell had gotten into me last night? I'm not the girl that just brings home strange men or goes home with them... I couldn't even look at myself in the mirror.

"Hey Claire, let's check out and go get some breakfast." I heard her suggest while brushing my teeth.

"Yeah, okay." I responded, walking out and shoving my dress and toothbrush back into my bag. I was busy gathering all of my things from around the room, tossing them into my bag.

"So you're minus a nice pair of heels. Care to talk about that? You know I want all of the dirty details." She teased me, smiling like the devil.

I turned around to glare at her, "Can we not." I pulled my long wet hair on each side of my neck and tried my best to hide all of the bite marks. "Just need some coffee." I mumbled, walking around to make sure that I had everything.

"Okay, okay! You go get the car and I'll go check out." I would be the one driving back since she drove the four hours here. I grabbed my bag and walked down the hallway to the elevator.

Making my way through the lobby and out to the parking lot, I knew that she wouldn't stop until I told her all about my night with Mr. drummer man. Tossing my bag into the back seat, I pulled around to the front to wait for Erica. After sitting there for a few minutes she finally came out and we drove to a restaurant to get something to eat.

Inside the little diner, she sat across from me picking at her food. "Are you going to tell me now?"

I rolled my eyes and threw my head back. "What do you want to know Erica? I don't remember everything."

"I bet you remember all of the good parts!" she said smirking.

"I remember waking up and not knowing where I was and then looking for my shoes, "I responded sarcastically.

"Come on, I didn't get to leave with him! You have to tell me!! I'm your best friend," she so sweetly reminded me, while making a pouty face.
