I stood in the kitchen, angry at myself for allowing him to get that close to me. Hearing the door close, I knew that he was gone. 'Damn him!' I opened up the bag and pulled the bottle of wine out. Sauntering into the living room, I noticed the guitar lying on the couch. 'Shit!' I picked it up and walked outside, laying it across my back seat and getting in my car. I drove down the street to see Max and Alex standing in a driveway. Calling out, I asked where Shannon's house was. Max completely ignored me, but Alex rattled off the address.

I pulled up just outside of the fancy gate and got out, opening the back door. Carrying the guitar, I was relieved to see that the gate wasn't closed all the way and I pushed it open. 'Lucky me,' I laughed to myself as I walked up and knocked on the door. A few seconds later he opened up, positioning himself in the middle of the doorway.

"Claire. What a lovely surprise. Would you like to come in?"

Nodding, I stepped inside and glanced around, impressed with his taste in decor and cleanliness. I spun around to look at him. "So, you left this and I didn't want anything to happen to it."

He took the guitar from my hands and placed it on the couch. "Thank you, that was very thoughtful of you. Can I get you something to drink?"

"Oh, no thanks. Your house is beautiful." I put my hands in my pockets and tried to relax. I couldn't wait to call Erica and tell her all about my eventful weekend  at Lily's.

"Let me give you a tour." Just as I was about to decline, his hand moved to my back. He showed me around, taking me into each room of the massive home. Of course, he saved his bedroom for last. I glanced over at his bed and remembered his words from earlier. 'What I would've done to you, would have been far from kicking you out.'

"This is my favorite room in the house." He walked toward me and I backed up.

"There's no reason to be nervous, we've already had sex, remember?" I backed up until my legs touched the back of the bed. I honestly thought he was going to push me down, but he didn't. Instead, he moved closer and brushed his lips against mine. "I promise not to bite, unless you ask me to." He slid his hand around the back of my neck and pressed his lips to mine and kissed me. Damn, he knew how to kiss, soft and gentle. His tongue moved against mine as he held my face to his. Quick memories of his naked body on top of me sparked in my mind and I gripped his shirt, pulling him closer. His hands moved from my neck all the way down to my ass and when he finally pulled his mouth away, he smirked. "You liked that, didn't you?"

Letting out a deep breath, I pushed him back. "I've got to go. I really have to get back. I'm supposed to be watching Max, not making out with some guy." I moved past him and walked down the hallway toward the door.

"Some guy? That's kinda rude, don't ya think? And Mac isn't exactly an infant. I'm sure he will be fine." He repeated my words as he hurried to keep up with me.

"Well, you are essentially a stranger, and you don't know my sister. Max isn't allowed to be on his own." I informed him, frustrated that just being near him made me so nervous.

"Okay, now you know where I live, so there's no excuse for us to not see each other again." He was so sure that I'd be back and it only made me want to prove him wrong.

"I'm only here babysitting. I go home tomorrow and I don't live in LA, so yeah, I won't be back." I said matter of factly as I exited the beautiful home.

"Hang on a sec." He reached down and picked up the guitar. "Here, don't forget Max's guitar."

I tilted my head, swallowing hard at the sweet gesture. He was really giving Max an expensive guitar. "You're giving this to him?"

He smirked, proud that he had fooled me. "No, it's not mine. It's his, he said his mom bought it for him."
