"Please don't make us?!?!?" Emmie screamed as she reached for Sawyer, their moms holding them both by their waists.
"Girls, come on. You have to stop. It won't be long until you see each other at recess." Sawyer's dad said staring at the girls, looking pained and embarrassed. Porter stood to the side watching his twin crying, unsure of what he should do. Finally, Sawyer's mom pulled Sawyer back far enough and got down on her level to talk to her and Emmie both.
"Listen to me. You will be down the hall from each other, you can play all you want at recess, and you can make new friends too. I know you haven't been apart for very long almost ever, but you're big girls now. You have to learn to be apart." She said quietly, yet still firm. Sawyer nodded, wiping her tears from her cheeks. Emmie did the same, her nose getting more and more stuffed.
They smiled at each other and hugged, before their moms grabbed their arms and pulled them to their kindergarten classes.
