Darth Braviss was standing in her personal chambers aboard the Shadow's Fist. She peered out the viewport behind her desk, looking at the red-orange glow of Shola. The automatic door at the front of the room slid open, and Lord Solvus entered the room. He walked quickly towards Braviss, then abruptly dropped to a kneel a couple meters away from the desk. He kept his head lowered, as if anticipating a cold stare from Braviss that he'd rather avoid.
"My master," Solvus said. "The Jedi Padawan is... hesitant to reveal the location of the enemy. My best efforts to interrogate him have not been successful. I have failed..." Solvus went silent.
Darth Braviss turned her head slightly to look back at him out of the corner of her eye. Solvus felt himself tense up.
"Your methods may have failed," Braviss said quietly. Her voice was snakelike. "But mine will not... We will discuss your punishment later. Take me to the prisoner's holding cell."
Solvus bowed his head back down. "As you command, my master." He rose to his feet and quickly exited the room, leading Braviss to Tylin's cell.
When they arrived, Tylin was barely conscious. Pale gray smoke drifted upwards from his robes. His body was still trying to recover from the Force lightning. Lord Solvus stepped aside after entering the room, allowing Darth Braviss to pass. She approached Tylin, looking him over. She gently grabbed Tylin by the chin, lifting his head up. Tylin slowly opened his eyes, staring blankly at her. Braviss returned the stare.
"Hmph," Braviss scoffed. "Don't worry, little Jedi. I'm not going to kill you. But you will give me the location of your Jedi Master."
Tylin said nothing. Braviss released her grip on his chin, and stepped back. She extended her hand, aiming it directly at Tylin's face.
"You will tell me where the Vindicator is," Braviss said calmly. She was trying to use a mind trick.
Tylin began to feel an incredible pain in his head as Braviss used the Force to break his mind. "I... I will tell you nothing," he muttered.
Braviss slightly jerked her hand forward, increasing the pressure on his mind.
"You will tell me where the Vindicator is," she repeated.
Tylin grunted and gasped repeatedly, struggling to block the immense pain.
"You... will tell me... where the Vindicator is," Braviss said again. Her hand was slowly approaching Tylin's forehead, about to touch him. Tylin groaned and shook his head slightly over and over. When Braviss' hand was only an inch from his forehead, he let out a long, loud shout of pain.
....
Darth Braviss entered the bridge, with Lord Solvus trailing her closely. Darth Savek stood at the front of the bridge, with Admiral Senoru at his side. Braviss approached him.
"Brother," she began. "The Hammer of Light has gone to Ilum. The Padawan revealed everything."
"Excellent," replied Savek. "I trust your apprentice kept the Jedi alive."
"Actually," said Braviss. "Lord Solvus was unable to obtain the information. I had to finish the job myself. But yes, the Padawan is still alive. He may yet be of some use to us."
"My thoughts exactly," said Savek with a sly grin. "Admiral, plot a course for Ilum. We're going to crush the Hammer of Light before they have a chance to recover. In the meantime, I've sent two of my own apprentices to hunt for Master Skyon."
Admiral Senoru nodded, plugging in Ilum's coordinates into the navicomputer. He pulled a lever, and the Shadow's Fist made the jump to hyperspace. The four Imperial frigates surrounding the Fist soon followed.
