Thousands of people lined the streets, and even more stood on the walkway leading to the entrance of the Senate Tower. Coruscant's streets were filled with the cheers of grateful Republic citizens. In front of the Senate Tower's grand entrance, dozens of senators, soldiers, and Jedi stood behind a large stage. Master Sykon shook hands with the Supreme Chancellor, then walked up to a podium facing the massive crowd.
"Citizens of the Republic," Master Sykon began. "I am Jedi Master Vasto Sykon. The elite Republic strike force known as the Hammer of Light has finally achieved its lifelong goal. Darth Savek and the Shadow's Hand have been defeated."
The crowd cheered, sending echoes throughout the courtyard.
"Though we suffered many losses," Master Sykon continued. "Their deaths were not in vain. We lost soldiers... We lost Jedi... We lost friends. But our strength and resolve can never be broken. Together, we stand taller than any obstacle. The rest of the Sith Empire is still out there. The future may be uncertain, but I can assure you... The Republic is ready."
The crowd once again erupted in a thunderous applause. Master Sykon stepped down from the stage, and the planetwide celebration began.
