❁ CHAPTER FOUR

The boys ate in silence because they were either embarrassed or nervous. Jughead didn't seem to want to eat much, understandable his chest must have still hurt from his father. Archie put down his spoon, hitting himself on the cheeks a bit in an attempt to wake up. 

Jughead pushed his bowl of cereal away, "Sorry." He laughed a bit. "That's totally fine!!" Archie smiled. Archie grabbed Jug's bowl pouring the contents into the sink, "If you're ready we can head over to school." 

"Alright. Let's go." Jughead got up heading over to the door, slipping on his shoes and grabbing his bag. Archie rushed to put his shoes on before heading out the door. The two headed down the street to school.

The walk was silent, yet all Archie could hear were the voices in his head. Yelling at him, Insulting him, Beating him. He sighed, as he felt his eyes start to get watery. 

Stupid.

Worthless.

Selfish.

Annoying.

"Just shut up already." Archie said 'to himself' as he sped ahead of Jughead. Jug stopped walking, 'Was he talking to me?'

Jughead groaned, trying to summon enough courage to follow Archie to school. He continued towards the school feeling a bit more awkward than before. 'He couldn't have been talking to you.'

Archie turned around realizing how far ahead of Jug he had gotten. He could either wait for Jughead to catch up or keep moving. 'If I waited he'll ask me about what just happened and if I tell him it will make me seem weird, but If I keep moving I'll be mean.' He subconsciously continued walking.

A loud bell sounded as Archie looked up to see the school. "Shit!" He ran inside as Jughead rounded the corner to just see him running through the door.  Jughead sighed, 'Probably doesn't want to be seen with me. He is a Jock after all.' Jughead turned around and started heading to somewhere much more, familiar.

Sorry for the short update, again. I've just gotten some bad news and I probably won't be able to update for a little bit.
