Mimi POV
The past two days been more than eventful. Such as this girl named Piper staying with us. And then ontop of all that Tay, Kash, and Piper all been up nights on end searching and digging up info on Generation X. So far they've found three facilities, Two are no longer in use while one is still active in doing gene editing, cloning, and in general dangerous experiments on children and teens. And well that's all that Kash them have told me. They definitely know way more than what they've told me. If anything they've distanced themselves. Especially Tay.. Lately she's been giving off this melancholy vibe while Kash has been more dark and gloomy. And Piper... Well I dont know I feel like she has something up her sleeve. I don't know why Tay agreed with Kash in letting Piper stay with us.
Night Time
Turning over in a deep sleep I pulled the comforters up on my shoulder cold as hell. Hearing Kash breath a bit heavier than usual. Thinking she probably was coughing or something I dozed back off.
Kash took a deep breath again so I sat up turning over.
"Kash". I said tapping her shoulder.
She groaned looking over at me. "Hm ?". She mumbled turning over on her stomach.
"Why you breathing like that ?". I asked moving ontop of her sitting down on her butt. "Feel like I gotta breath harder to get air". She said making me worried. Last time Kash said that she had to sit with an oxygen machine all night nearly. "You good or you need the oxygen machine ?". I asked beginning to massage her back. Working my hands up to her neck I felt tenseness in her neck. "Im good babe". She mumbled chuckling slightly. "M-Milasia". She called.
"Yes ?". I asked leaning down kissing her cheek getting a whiff of her natural scent. Kash always smells good.
Kash turned over so I'd be sitting ontop her. "I probably don't show it much but I really care about you.. Th-These past two years been dark b-but like you been the light to keep me sane.. I love you and like I don't want no one else.. And you know like whatever happens in the end my heart yours". She said catching me completely off guard. Not in a million years did I think that would come out her mouth. I-It sounded genuine which was made my heart melt.
Leaning down I kissed her lips.
"I love you too big head". I truthfully said.
Kash just smiled resting her hands up on her hand sleepily drifting off to sleep. I moved off her lap laying up under her resting my head in her neck.
We both peacefully went to sleep.
Tomorrow Kash has a full day of vigorous non-stop training with her Uncle Vinzo.
Tay POV | 1 Week Later
Sitting back on the couch outside in the backyard under the gazebo I watched Kash and Piper spar. Grabbing my MacBook setting it on my lap, I began digging up top secret files. Files on exactly how Piper was made. It's much more to her story than what she told Kash, Mimi, and I.
Speaking of Mimi she walked out back with a drink in her hand. Scooting over she sat down next to me.
"I noticed every time Piper is around you always seem to have that same death glare glued to your face". Mimi said taking a sip of what looked to be a Bloody Mary.
Shrugging my shoulders I payed her comment no attention continuing my research.
"So me and Kash met with the endorsers yesterday right ?, And these niggas basically want Kash to demolish if not kill that girl Hana Kouri". I said causing Mimi to become wide eyed. Drinking the rest of her Bloody Mary she finished it off. "You and I both know that probably was already on Kash's to-do list for that fight anyways". She said and I nodded my head agreeing.
