1.Going Away

Emily's P.O.V

Man my mom is making a to big of deal of this. Me and my little brother are going away to my dad's for the summer, and she's acting like we're moving out.

"Hunny are you all packed? got your toothbrush, toothpaste, money, first-aid kit? do you remember how to do CPR? here let's go through it again, OK first you ma-" I rolled my eyes "yes mom i'm ready and so is seb, now I know and remember CPR could we go now?" I asked very annoyed.

She smiled her mother smile and hugged me like it was the last one she'd ever get from me. I smiled and hugged back, not quite as tight tho.

We heard dad's horn and Seb jumped up and ran to the door like a kid on a movie or TV show would when they heard their dad coming home from work.

When the knock came at the door Seb opened it quickly and practically attacked him in hugs. My dad smiled and picked him up.

"oh boy did you get big my son" he smiled and grunted putting Seb down. Then he looked at me "Awe man! NY little girl is big now to!" and he pulled me in for a hug but I pulled back just as quick.

He frowned, "what's wring hunnybunch?" he asked "look don't take it personally but I don't want to talk to you right now" I said a little harshly.

He looked at my mother with concern and she just shrugged and said "later", he put a smile on and we put our bags in the car.

We were just  standing outside the car when my mom asked If he wanted to eat something and he shook his head " I ate on the road, we should get going anyway long drive" and with that we gave mom one last hug and got in the car.

As we drove off, we all waved out of the car windows and I watched as I left my life and my home to spend 2  horrible weeks with my dad. I didn't want to but my brother did and my mom said it would be a good way to stay In touch with him.

I had a different opinion if course though, I wanted to stay home and hang out with friend before school started cause it just ended and this really wasn't fair at all.
