Yugyeom felt one of Jackson's hands on his waist, his other hand taking Yugyeom's free hand. Yugyeom placed his other hand on Jackson's shoulder, feeling Jackson begin leading the dance. He was already dying inside at the fact the prince was dancing with him. Yugyeom looked anywhere but Jackson, though snapped his gaze towards Jackson when he spoke,
"This is the first time i've seen you. Do you not go out much?''
Oh how Yugyeom wished he could say his life story right then and there.
"Ah.. y-yeah.. I don't do parties, but i was told to come since the king was throwing it for you to find your true love. And i wasn't highly sure, since after all it's not gonna be me."
Yugyeom let out a soft giggle, Jackson studying his soft features. The prince's face frowned upon hearing that, since after all the prince already loved his features, and voice. Though he wouldn't voice it too soon.
"Ah, so you didn't want to come? That's too bad."
Jackson pouted, making Yugyeom giggle softly,
"Well, im enjoying myself now. I just thought i would be alone the whole time."
Yugyeom smiled, Jackson brightening up like a dog being told he was a good boy. Yugyeom laughed at that, though squeaked when Jackson pinched his cheek gently,
"You're tall, y'know. But you're cute. How do you pull that off?"
"I don't know, Prince Jackson. May you please let my cheek go?"
Yugyeom giggled as Jackson just rolled his eyes playfully, and let him go. He pulled away, his hand on his waist leaving. Yugyeom already missed the closeness, but decided it was best. He didn't want to get attached since this is the first and only time they'd see each other. He looked at the time, realizing that an hour already swept past, bringing shock in his face. That means he only had 2 hours left.
"Come, let's get something to eat. You look skinny for a growing boy.''
Jackson commented, patting Yugyeom's belly who laughed at the action, and forgot about the time. He followed him to the food table, getting himself some food and just casually ate neatly and calmly. Jackson began to rant about how much he loved his father, and was glad the elder had thrown him the party to let him choose. Yugyeom envied the other, wishing he had that life but didn't. He shook his head at himself, reprimanding himself at his thoughts. That was selfish of him to think that.
"Sometimes he's a handful... I wish he'd let me go out alone without Jinyoung following me everywhere. Especially since his friends and boyfriend tags along everytime I decide to walk out of the castle."
Yugyeom looked at him, already lost in the depths of his chocolate brown eyes, jumping when Jackson snapped his fingers,
"You're spacing out, are you ok?''
"Y-yeah.. i got distracted, sorry."
Yugyeom smiled softly, soon finishing off his food, and listening again,
"How's your life at your home, Yugyeom?? You didn't tell me a lot about yourself."
Yugyeom panicked for a moment, unsure again whether to spill the truth, or lie again. Like an idiot he is, he chose the latter,
"It's well. My mother and father are loving parents, and i have two wonderful brothers, though i wish they'd get better outfits styles. They help a lot around the house, and I enjoy it."
Yugyeom smiled, though he was masking his lies with it. Jackson looked at him, and hummed,
"That's wonderful. Im glad they treat you well, Yugyeom."
Jackson smiled, and looked at the clock,
"Ah.. dang the party is almost over."
Yugyeom went pale, looking at the clock. Already? Had it already gone by? He registered the time. 10:50. Ah crap. Gotta go. Jackson turned to Yugyeom,
"Yugyeom.. i have to say, you're cute. You're funny, and you have the best laugh i've heard. I feel like i did fall in love with you.."
"Ah- thats great, Prince Jackson.. but i got to go, im sorry. I promised.. i promised my friend i'd go and eat dessert at their place! Im sorry so suddenly leaving, and i appreciate you taking time to hang out with someone with a low title like me."
He bowed, and slipped his hands from Jacksons. Jackson wasn't able to respond as Yugyeom rushed off quickly, tripping over someones foot, that ended up knocking his shoe off and under the table. Yugyeom looked back at it, but looked at the time. 5 minutes. Yugyeom continued, this time running down the stairs,
"Yugyeom! Please don't leave!"
Jackson called after him, rushing after the boy. Yugyeom climbed into the carriage as soon as the drivers whistle went off to signal he was driving away. He looked back, and smiled sadly,
"Im sorry, my prince. But this is the last time you will see me."
He said, and waved gently at the male who stood at the bottom of the stairs with a troubled heart.
