My Only Friend

~Chapter 4~

                      For a minute, as we walk to the library it was eerie like something would happen. "We'll meet at our table." Mila said heading towards the book return. As soon as we get in the library we all split up even though it's a stupid idea. I walked down the rows of biographies and stopped at a book about Alexander Hamilton. "This is interesting.". Suddenly a blood curdling scream erupted. I ran towards the scream and froze there was Kylee's body sitting there at our group table head down, throat slit, and slumped over. I stand there shocked, tears building in my eyes, suddenly feeling guilty about this. "I was supposed to protect her. She looked up to me and I didn't do anything to protect her." I thought. "Jayden, are you okay?" Riley asked me glancing my direction. "I'll be okay but the question is what happened." I respond looking at Cam, Mila, and Riley. " I'll call campus security. Mila call the cops and Cam go tell the librarian to not let anyone in. Got it." Riley said taking charge while grabbing his phone. "On it." Mila said getting her phone out of her jacket. "I'm going." Cam said sprinting to the librarian's desk to tell her the situation. "I'll call Alexis to see if her and Alex are okay and tell him what happened." I say grabbing my phone out of my hoodie pocket. Riley turned to look at me he seems like he doesn't want her to be there.

                           Finally, the cops and campus security got here. The cops taped off the area she was in while, one lady and a man walked over. The lady started to speak, "Hello, this is Officer Miguel and I'm Detective Julia. We need you to come with us to the station.". "We're here." Alexis said dragging Alex behind her. "Who are you?" Detective Julia questioned looking at her. " I'm Alexis and this is my twin brother Alex. We're friends of Jayden and Kylee." Alexis said staring blankly at the detectives. "Well I'm Detective Julia and this is Officer Miguel we will be on the case about Kylee." Detective Julia said looking at Alex. "Do Alexis and I have to be here weren't even her when they found the body." Alex said annoyed at the fact he was there. "No you don't have to be there, but if we do I'll have one of your friends call you." Officer Miguel said looking at Alex. "Come on Alexis, lets go." Alex said walking out towards the door. "Bye!" Alexis said heading out after Alex. "Lets go." Officer Miguel said walking out.
