Chapter Four

How long had it been? Just a few hours? It feels more then a few hours. Mabel sighed and rolled over on the dusty mattress that was in the attic. She glanced over to the one Dipper would sleep on when they were last here. Yeah they missed a few summers, well take that back, both of them missed three summers. Now Dipper isn't here to see what has changed in the shack. Pacifica had changed her hair. Soos had a family and worked the shack. Wendy was no were to be seen yet the same thing with grunkles; this concerned her highly. She hoped she would be able to see them soon though.

Mabel shoved her hands on her face, she needed to stop worrying so much, but it was kinda hard. She's never been this far away from her brother, yeah it's something that's not that new, but it felt weird. They were attached at the hip! She sat up, she needed to stop thinking like this and actually get settled in this room. Give it a little Mabel summer make over. Cracking her fingers and getting off the mattress she grabbed the sheet hanging off the mattress and got to work.

How many hours have passed now? Mabel had no clue but she did know she had finished settling in and gave her side of the room a little make over. She was proud of her work. She glanced outside, looked like the sun had finally started to go down. Mabel headed downstairs to see what she could get into or talk to at this hour.

Mabel stopped at the bottom of the stairs when she heard voices, they sounded like her grunkles, but it also could be her ears and mind tricking her. She slowly started walking after she heard the voices.

   Mabel stopped at the doorway of the living room. Nope, nobody in here but the voices were getting louder. She kept walking slowly as she stopped near the kitchen doorway. She stayed close to the wall and peaked into the kitchen to see who was talking. Her eyes lit up at the two familiar faces.
