I heard my alarm go off and the mix of panic and frustration rolled through me. I barely got any sleep last night.
"Elizabeth are you up?" My mom called from downstairs. "Yes mom" i said back. I think there is supposed to be a new kid at school today. Probably just end up another person i dont like. Or doesn't like me for that matter.
But i managed to roll out of bed with just enough time to get ready. I was wearing a black t shirt and skinny jeans. It was cold out so i put on my jean jacket. I grabbed my phone and headphones and my back pack and headed downstairs. My siblings were eating but i always feel sick when i eat in the morning so i skip it. "Have a good day at school honey" my mom said kissing my forehead. My mom knew how much i disliked school but there wasnt much she could do about it. All my siblings put there shoes on and the bus was here 2 minutes later.
Once i was inside the school i put my stuff in my locker and as i turned my head i saw what everyone was staring at. The new kid, he was definetly something to look at. He was so tall, he had dark hair and the prettiest eyes. When he walked by he made eye contact with no one, including me. All the girls were whispering, i wonder which one will end up with him.
I grabbed what i needed for study hall and headed downstairs. When i walked into class i was the first one there because everyone else was at breakfast. "Good morning, ms Elizabeth" my teacher said. "Good morning to you as well" i said. I dont get along with most of my teachers but mr radley is nice. I felt cold air pass my body as the door opened, it was him the new kid. "Ah, you must be felix!" Mr radley said. "That would be me" felix said. "Well this is Elizabeth" mr radley said. "Yes i saw you in the hall, nice to meet you" felix said. "Yeah, you too" i said. He smiled and took his seat. I dont know how but i knew he'd be trouble. Looks like his can kill.
As the day went on i couldn't wait to go home. It was last period now and it looks like i only have study hall with felix which makes sense because im a freshman and he's a senior or maybe a junior. After the bell rung everyone flooded out of class and i walked with my friends to my locker. "Have you seen the new kid?" Aaliyah asked. "Yeah we have study hall together" i said. "Hes so hot" lexi said. "Yeah he's not bad" i said, lying knowing he was much better than not bad. After i got my stuff me and my friends went our seperate ways. I got on the bus and headed to the back. I heard an unfamiliar voice talking to the bus driver "Does this bus go to lysander road?" The voice said. I look over the seat and saw felix. "Yes, are you felix?" The bus driver said. "Yes sir" felix said. "Nice to meet you take a seat anywhere" felix took the seat next to me. I took the water bottle out of my bag and sipped it. It was pretty freezing out right now. I should have wore more than just this jacket. I could see felix looking at me. "Hey, Elizabeth right?" "Uh yeah, and your felix?" I knew his name. "That's right" he said. "So is this your first day here?" I asked. "Yeah its an interesting school" he said. "Good luck, where did you move from?" I asked. "Chicago, but im kinda from around everywhere." "I feel you, i move alot too but ive been here a couple years." The bus took off. "Yeah, you look freezing" he said. "I kinda am. Its so cold here." "I can help you out" he said. He stood up out of his seat and he got into mine, he shut the window above me. "Oh thanks i didnt even know it was open." i said laughing. All the younger kids were very talkative, my bus waa filled with younger kids almost none my age or older. When he stood up the close my window his shirt lifted a bit and i saw a tattoo on his chest. It was a scorpion, im assuming he's a scorpio. Im a pisces. "So uh where do you live?" Felix asked. "I live on eve road." I said. "Oh cool i live a few streets from there." He said. "Thats nice." I said. We were on lysander road amd the bus started to slow down at a bouse on the corner, the cops were at the house. Felix looked embarrassed. "See ya tomorrow." He said. "Yeah see you later." He walked off the steps of the bus and up his driveway where the cops started to talk to him. I wonder why they were there, i hope everything was okay. Not long after me and my siblings got dropped off at our house and i just couldnt stop thinking about felix.
