CHAPTER 1
Little Lady Siren

Strong rushing winds blow, causing the ebb and flow of the tides.

King Triton assembled his army, preparing them for battle.

"The humans have murdered our kind, devoured our flesh," he began his speech. "But no more!" A roar escaped his mouth as the drums of war were sounding. "Out there is a great tide of optimism, and tonight it is with us when we take the lives of every human on that ship."

They was a loud battle cry of encouragement that echoed through the war room.

Pushing at the door, Ariel budged into the war room and swam towards king Triton.

"Father this is a mistake, please reconsider," she begged him.

"You have no business being in here. Leave now, or I'll remove you," his bitter voice came out as he stared at her with anger playing on his face.

"Father please, Eric could be on that ship, he has nothing to do with any of this," she put a firm hand on his muscular arm.

"I don't care," he said bluntly. "But if he does turn out to be on that ship, I'll give him a merciful death when I rip his head from his shoulders. You have my word," he said with an evil grin forming on his face.

Disgust filled the face of Ariel as she stared up at him.
She knew now that they was no redemption for her father anymore. After the death of her mother, it took everything good out of him and left his heart filled with nothing but evil, hate and anger.

"I wish mom were here to see what's become of you," she said.

Without any hesitation, he struck Ariel. "Lock her up!" He yelled.

Ariel was then taken to the dungeons by two royal guards.

Triton got his army and left for battle.

Slowly sneaking into the dungeon, Sebastina made his way to Ariel's cell with a worried look on his face.

"What's wrong Sebastina?" She asked.

"It's Eric, his on the ship. Triton is going to kill him,"he explained.

"Sebastina, you need to get me out of here, I need to go help him," Ariel said as she tried breaking the gate to her cell but it couldn't open.

"I'll try, but there's something else you need to know," he hesitated momentarily and exhaled. "Triton isn't just plan to destroy that ship. His planning to go on the surface and end the line of humans.

Fear flushed on Ariel's face. Sebastina left in a hurry to try and find a way to free Ariel from her cell.

Ariel sat in her cell deep in contemplation that she didn't notice a potion bottle rolling towards her. She flinched when it stopped and touched her fin. She took the bottle in her palm and quickly forced her gaze at the one who rolled it to her and saw nothing but a moving shadow that passed her cell.

She quickly swam to the cell gate, trying to squeeze her head and catch a glimpse of the figure.

"Hey!" She called out. "Who are you?" She asked but got no response. "What is this?"

She glanced at the potion but it looked nothing like the one she drink the first time. I have to take the risk, she thought to herself and drank it without any hesitation.

Ariel sunk to the ground and screamed as the potion started to burn her body from the inside. Her red hair began to turn black, her skin became white with shades of blue, her eyes were an empty black, her teeth became sharp and a sharp dorsal fin sprouted from her back all the way down.

A grin spread on Ariel's face, exposing her sharp teeth as she rose from the ground and bursted out of her cell. She froze when she glanced at Sebastina, who was horrified at what she had become.

"Ariel, what have you done?" He asked her with fear on his tone.

Ariel stared at Sebastina as though not recognizing him. She charged at him without a second thought and Sebastina screamed as he was being devoured.

Swimming towards the ship with great speed, Ariel watched as her father and his army fought the humans.

Ariel was in range and started killing her father's soldiers brutally before the got on board of the ship. Heads were flying everywhere, arms were bitten and ripped off and the sea was filled with a pool of blood.
The soldiers screamed as they were horrifically murdered.

***

The ship was surrounded with blood and floating pieces of dead bodies. The men on deck trembled as they pointed their guns up at Ariel, who climbed on deck.

Her body started to transform slowly, taking the form of a human being.

As she stood, Ariel was holding her father's trident in one hand and his head in the other.
T

he tides were calm as the men watched the horrifying siren standing stagnant, staring at them without a word said, holding a trident, a head, her mouth, hands and body were covered in blood.

Ariel began to grin, showing her bloody teeth, then ran towards the men and started attacking them.

The noise of gunshots and people horrifically getting murdered was sounding below deck.

"What's going on up there?" Eric asked in fear.

"We don't know what it is Sir," one trembling soldier replied.

"We need to help the men," Eric said, trying to build courage in himself.

"Sir please, don't," his soldier said, but didn't try to stop him.

Eric slow walked up to the deck with a gun in is hand. He glanced around when he was on deck and saw his men in pieces, brutally killed and the deck was bloody.
He saw Ariel squatting at a corner but he couldn't tell what she was doing because she gave Eric her back.

"Ariel," he called her name softly as he slowly walked to her. "Ariel it's-,"

She turned slowly and he froze when he saw her eating a human arm. He made no movements, but perspiration broke on his face and she knew he was afraid.

She dropped the arm she was eating and slowly started to stand up straight with an evil grin forming on her face as her dark empty eyes were fixed on Eric.
