Dear Diary,
11/29/2017
It's day one and I'm already terrified. I'm scared that I won't get to do the things I've always wanted to do. I'm scared that I'll be forgotten. I'm scared I'll break.

She stepped into her small untidy apartment before tossing her keys on the counter. She kicked her red, tattered converse to the side before walking into her room.
The plain walls were lined with ripped Nirvana posters. She walked to her bed before laying down and staring at the chipped ceiling.
She had 23 days left. Her mind filled with ideas. She had so much she wanted to do. She walked over to the dirty window which faced the beautiful city of LA.
She lived downtown where crime was popular. She always made sure she got home before the sun set.
She grabbed a packet of Marlboro cigarettes from her pocket and her lighter before placing the roll of tabaco between her lips.
She watched as the sun set. It was beautiful. She had never realized how beautiful the view actually was. She never took the time to appreciate it.
With the cigarette still between her lips she walked to her closet and grabbed a tattered backpack. She stuffed her diary, a pen, cigarettes, a lighter, a few dollars and a list of everything she wanted to do into a small tattered denim backpack.
She threw the bag over her shoulder before slipping on her black and white vans. She skipped out the front door and onto the lonely streets of downtown Los Angeles.
She made her way towards the nearest bus stop. She wanted to go anywhere. She didn't care how far away it was. She wanted an adventure. A surprise.
She sat at the lonely bus stop, listening to music as she patiently waited for the bus to arrive.
Within a few minutes the bus finally arrived. "Hello sir" she chirped as she handed the bus driver a few dollars. The bus was fairly empty.
She made her way to the back of the bus where she sat in the corner staring out the window. She watched as people walked by walking their dogs or talking on the phone.
She noticed everything now. She appreciated the little things. After all she only had 23 days left.
A few hours went by. She had no idea where she was going but she didn't care. She wanted to go as far away as possible.
The bus stopped and on walked one of the most handsome boys she had ever seen. The second her eyes met his butterflies raged in her stomach. Her cheeks turned a light shade of pink before she quickly looked away.
"Hey, Can I sit beside you?" He asked flashing a toothy smile. "Of course" She smiled moving her dirty bag off the seat. "My name is Grayson" he introduced with a small smile.
"I'm Lenin nice to meet you" she smiled staring into his gorgeous hazel eyes. "Where are you going?" He asked looking over at her. He admired the freckles that sat on the bridge of her nose and her thick dark eyebrows.
"I don't know if I'm being totally honest" she laughed. Grayson raised his perfectly arched eyebrow. "Seriously?" He questioned tilting his head to the side.
"Seriously" Lenin confirmed with a smile. "What are you gonna do?" He questioned raising an eyebrow. "I want to explore" Lenin replied looking out at the busy city.
"Let me take you somewhere" Grayson blurted with a cheesy smirk. "How do I know that your not going to kill me?" Lenin joked wriggling her eyebrows.
"Maybe I will" Grayson laughed before bursting out into a fit of chuckles. Lenin smiled at him. She loved how easy he was to talk to. He didn't make things awkward.
Although she hadn't known him for long she felt like she could trust him. She knew that she'd be safe with him.
"Well Grayson, I would love to go on an adventure with you" she giggled as she stuffed her phone and her earphones into her bag.
"We're going to get off at the next stop, follow me" Grayson said reaching out his large hand. Lenin grabbed his hand and the pair walked down the aisle of empty seats. The bus came to a halt and the two thanked the driver before jumping off.
"I want to show you something amazing" Grayson smiled before grabbing Lenin's hand and guiding her towards a large wooded area. The pine trees swayed in the breeze as the two raced hand in hand through the forest.
"Are we nearly there?" She questioned as she admired her surroundings. The two continued running through the forest until they reached a small treehouse.
"I want you to close your eyes" He asked as he walked over to a small box which was sat beside the small wooden tree house. Lenin done as she was asked and shut her beautiful green eyes.
"Open" Grayson demanded. She opened her eyes. She was speechless. The treehouse and the trees surrounding it were covered in beautiful fairy lights.
"Oh my god Grayson this is beautiful" Lenin spoke out in awe as she walked around admiring how beautiful it looked in the night sky.
"I know. My dad and I made this before he passed" Grayson said as he walked towards the treehouse. "I'm soo sorry about your dad" Lenin frowned as she followed behind Grayson.
"Don't be, Good things don't last forever" Grayson reassured turning around to smile at Lenin. He was perfect. Lenin couldn't help but blush when he looked at her.
"Come on in" Grayson welcomed as they climbed up a small ladder and into the tree house. It was decorated with drawings hung on the wall and pillows and blankets scattered neatly across the wooden floor. Fairy lights hung from the ceiling and short sheer curtains covered the small windows.
"Wow it's amazing" She complimented as she looked around. "Let's stay here tonight. We can look at the stars. Talk about everything" Grayson suggested looking down at the petite girl.
"I would love to" Lenin gushed with a smile.
For the rest of the night the two laid on the blankets staring at the twinkling stars above. Graysons arm was wrapped around Lenin's tiny waist as her head rested on his muscular chest.
The pair fell asleep in each other's arms under the twinkling night sky.
