This place was worse than she expected.

Having come straight from a poverty filled background, the new girl itched agaisnt her scratchy new school clothes, and kept her head down. Quietly, she observed every face she walked past, noting how her guide's expression changed every time another person looked at her.

He had introduced himself as Tamlin, nervous from the start, and had barely said a word to anyone but his seemingly ony friend, Lucian. Long blonde hair in his eyes and body taungt with muscle, Tamlin was striking in appearance, but did not seem popular with his fellow classmates. A few glared outright at him, and one - a stunning dark haired boy who passed to quickly to be properly observed - had even flicked a middle finger up at him.

There was a story behind their relationship - but one to be unearthed later.

Tamlin stopped his quick pace outside of a classroom. "This is our form room." He said, avoiding eye contact.

The letters on the door made no sense to her, but she thanked him and walked into the room.

Plain tables greeted her, empty chairs tucked carefully beneath them. Underwhelming and boring.

Feyre sighed and took a chair. Tamlin wordlessly slipped into the one beside her, Lucian on his other side.

Subtly, Lucian elbowed Tamlin's arm, an action not meant to be spotted.

Tamlin straightened in hiss chair. "You look...clean." He spluttered, a blush rising on his cheeks. "And your hair looks...nice."

Feyre ignored the shoddy compliments waited for her new life to begin.

It might be alot different to how she imagined it.
