Lullaby (Gabentine)

Hi again hehehehe sorry for not updating for awhile, needed some more ideas that I could write for the chapters.

Anyways Clem is back at Richmond with AJ and sorry guys, but even though she is back from the school, she does not have any relationships with Louis and Violet. Hope you enjoy this chapter :)

Gabe's P.O.V.

There I was, just patrolling down the halls making sure everything is perfect and peaceful here at Richmond. Or that is what I told Javier as an excuse for my main reason.

It's been so long since I've last seen Clementine, probably two or three years after she left. And finally, she's back. I wanted to at least catch up or check on her and AJ. I just need to find their room an-

"Twinkle twinkle little star..."

I stopped in my tracks as I turned to look at the slightly-opened dark oak door. Could this be it?

"How I wonder what you are,"

Taking a peak into the room, my eyes caught onto the walnut-brown hair of a girl I once knew, tucking the child in to sleep. I never got a good chance to notice how much she's grown. Her face is now framed with longer locks from before, she also looks more mature now with her grown features and new clothing. However, the same signature cap was still there like it was before.

As she sang the classic lullaby, I remembered catching her a few times humming to herself as she carried out her duties. I always thought of her having a talent for singing after those few time. But this, I never knew her voice could be so angelic.

"Up above the world so high,"

"Like a diamond in the sky," I sang softly to myself along with her, still watching through the gap she left while the young mum pats AJ to sleep.

"Twinkle twinkle little star, how I wonder what you are." Clementine finishes, along with placing a kiss on AJ's forehead to mark an end to her performance.

I sighed, gently closing the door before closing eyes, thinking back to the past few minutes when Clem sang the lullaby. Man if only I could hear her sing one more time.

"Patrolling the halls, huh?" A new voice breaks the silence. I jumped up and almost stumbled on my feet before seeing the boss of Richmond staring at me.

"I-Javier, I can explain!"

"Explain what?"  A gentler and softer voice came from behind me. Turning around quickly after being startled once again, I see another brunette looking up at me with her golden eyes, filled with curiosity and the need for an explanation.

And with extreme thought and care in what I would say next, I answered...

"I'm in deep shit, aren't I?"
