We started running to his car. I was blindly following him because all he told me was that "it was parked in front of his apartment building, which wasn't that far from here."
I had been running after him for a few minutes when he stopped in front of a familiar apartment building.
Wait.
This was the complex my apartment was in.
He stopped in front of an orange sports car that was parked in the corner. "Get in," he said, beckoning me.
I cocked my head. "Why did you bring me here?"
He furrowed his eyebrows. "What do you mean?"
"Do you live here?"
He nodded. "My apartment's on the tenth floor, by the corner of the building. I'm never really home, though, because I'm always practicing with the boys."
Practicing? What would he be practicing? And who are those "boys?"
I shook my head. Gotta clear my thoughts; now wasn't the time.
He cleared his throat. "You do realize you've wasted about three minutes standing there?"
Crap. I forgot I was late.
He opened the car door and I headed in.
Daebak.
The interior of the car was black leather, and it was extremely sleek and modern. I held onto my bag, which was sitting in my lap. In the back of my mind,I'm hoping I don't get kidnapped.
The guy got into the driver's side and started the engine. Before he shifted out of park, though, he looked at me, then looked at something behind my head.
Without warning, he reached over until his arm was completely in front of me. I held my breath. What. Was. He. Doing. No thanks.
His shoulder was almost in front of my face, and I could smell his cologne. It was a softer smell. Sorta like honey.
It smelled good. Comforting.
I snapped out of my phase when I heard something click. Ah. That's what he was doing.
He had reached over and pulled the seatbelt over me and clicked it into place. He looked into my eyes with a pout on his face.
"You shouldn't be in a car without a seatbelt on, okay? It's dangerous." I just nodded, still a bit shaken from him being so close to me.
As my eyes were wandering, they fell on the clock in the dashboard.
"Crap! Hurry, go, go, go! It's already 7!" I yelled into his ear. His eyes widened and he muttered something to himself. It sounded like a small "shit!".
Aw. I never would've thought the word "shit" could sound cute. But when he said it, it did.
Snap out of it, Hyesun. Now is definitely not the time.
He sped down the road and little while later we pulled up to a building with the logo "BigHit." He parked, and we both jumped out of the car and sprinted to the entrance.
We burst through the doors, then stopped once we made it past the employee entrance. I didn't know where to go and I'm pretty sure he didn't want to leave me alone but he also didn't want to be late but then he still felt like being a gentleman and he knew he couldn't let me get lost on my first day and I knew he was thinking all of that but I still said nothing and he still said nothing and we just looked at each other wondering what the other was going to do.
