It was Cyds first day at west Portland high school, she was nervous because of what people would think of her as she was the schools bookworm. But when she walked into the building she bumped into a girl with long blonde curly hair.
"I am so sorry," Said the girl
"It's fine happens all the time," Said cyd
"Shelby," Said the girl as she held out her hands for Cyd to shake
"Cyd,"
"Well it's a pleasure to meet you Cyd, so what brings you here?" Asked Shelby
"My parents got a job transfer," Said Cyd
"Oh cool," Said Shelby
Then all the sudden a boy with Carmel brown hair passed by and gave cyd and head nod and a smile
"Who was that?" Asked Cyd smiling
"That's Naldo Montoya the schools most popular kid," Said Shelby
"Is he single?" Asked Cyd
"Yea, why do you like him?" Asked Shelby smiling
Cyd nods, then Shelby squeals
"This is so exciting we need to change you look after school,"
"Why? What's wrong with what I'm wearing?" Asked Cyd Offended
"No offense but you dress like a hobo," Said Shelby
"Uh still offended," Said Cyd
Shelby drags Cyd to first period
Naldo
As I was passing down the halls I saw a girl with a long black hair pulled up into a high ponytail with glasses and a black pull over hoodie, I got to admit, she is pretty cute, but I don't know what my friends would say.
I was sitting at lunch looking at the new girl when Luke snapped me out of my trance
"Earth to Naldo," Said Luke
"What?!" I shouted enough for Luke and his brother Cameron to hear
"Wait are you checking out that new girl Cyd?" Asked Cameron
"What no," I said hiding the fact that I'm lying
"Naldo," they both said
"Ok fine I'm staring at her," Said Naldo
"You know she is pretty cute," Said Cameron
"Yea I like the way her black hair sways when her hair is up in a ponytail," Said Naldo daydreaming
"Dude go talk to her," Said Luke
"Your not really going to talk to her right?" Asked Katherine sitting next to Naldo
"Yea she's ugly," Said Layla
Cyd
I was sitting at lunch with Shelby and Barry when all the sudden I felt eyes on me.
"What's wrong?" Asked Shelby
"I think something or someone is looking at me," Said Cyd
Shelby turns around and sees Naldo
"I think Naldo is looking at you," smiled Shelby
Skip to after school Cyd
I was at the mall with Shelby getting 'new clothes' she said that Naldo only likes girls with style, but who cares. What's wrong with how I dress?
Meand Shelby went through some stores and had some luck, Shelby found a pink blouse, while I bought a one direction hoodie
"Cyd why do you like wearing hoodies?" Asked Shelby
"I don't know there comfortable to me,"
"Hey look forever pink let's go in there" Said Shelby as she dragged me into the store and to admit it wasn't that bad except everything was pink
The next day
Cyd
The next day had passed and I got dressed into this new outfit that I bought with Shelby and to be honest it doesn't look that bad

Then I combed my hair, Shelby wants its down instead of Up because she says that it 'gets the guys attention' which I don't believe it but I left it down and then brushed my teeth then do my makeup then I walked downstairs for school
At school Naldo
I walked into school hoping to see Cyd there but when I got here I saw a group of guys surrounded by some girl and that girl looks familiar....Wait that's cyd
I walked up to Cyd and tapped her shoulder
"Hey...oh hi," Said Cyd
"Hey can I talk to you?" Asked Naldo
"Sure," Said cyd then she followed Naldo
"Why did you change?"
"What do you mean?" Asked Cyd
"This," Said Naldo gesturing to her outfit is not you,"
"I know I hate it to but Shelby says that it will catch your attention," Said Cyd looking down
"Cyd, you didn't have to change, your perfect they way you are," Said Naldo
"Wait you like the old me?" Asked Cyd smiling
"Yea," smiled Naldo "I thought you were cute," Said
"Yea I feel ridiculous in this thing," laughed cyd
"Why don't you join me and my friends at lunch? You can bring Shelby and Barry," Said Naldo
Cyd smiled
"I would like that," Said Cyd
Naldo pulls out some nerd glasses and puts them on Cyd
"Now that's better," smiled Naldo
Cyd smiled
They walked together to there class.
A few months later they started dating and they couldn't be happier.
