-Grayson's pov-

Today Grayson woke up pretty early. Around 4am to be exact. His father was usually up in an hour, and today they had to leave at 7 instead of 9, because of meetings.

Every Tuesday at work they had meetings from 8 until 12, Grayson gladly ddin't have to be apart of them yet, but for the time being, he would have to spend those hours doing paperwork then meeting Ethan for 20 minutes.

When Grayson finished his shower and getting dressed he saw that it was 6:00 and that he had an hour to waste until they had to go.

He pulled out his laptop, sitting on his bed and opening the youtube tab, like any other 20 year old would do with spare time.

"Grayson, you ready we gotta go!" He heard his dad yell from downstairs. His eyes scrunched up in confusion before looking at the time, seeing that it was 7:30, and they were going to be late.

"No.." Grayson mumbled as he stood up, grabbing his phone and checking the time that read 6:30am instead of 7:30am, like it was supposed to.

"Grayson!" His father yelled again, slightly louder.

"I'm coming!" Grayson yelled, quickly grabbing his file off of the desk before running down the stairs where his father was waiting.

He apologized as the two walked to the car and got in, but his dad just told him to be more aware of time. Grayson was going to tell him what happened, but he would probably say Grayson was using it as an excuse.

When they got to the prison his dad told him which office to do paperwork in before hurrying to the meetings, which were being held in the place Grayson would usually meet Ethan.

As he walked to the office he couldn't help but think back to this morning, and how weird it was that his clock was changed.

As he started his paperwork his mind strictly focused on them, disregarding the events of this morning, and before he knew it, it was time to meet with Ethan.

"You ready to go?" His dad's friend asked. His dad was good friends with the staff her, obviously, but the man usually by his side otherwise known as his partner, was Jack Johnson.

"Yeah, I'm ready" I nodded, getting out of my seat and walking with him down the hall.

"So, your dad's still in meetings he won't be done until late, I'm gonna drive you home that cool?" He asked and I nodded.

I was used to Jack picking me up from school and always being at the house, he was my dad's best friend and has been since they were in kindergarten believe it or not.

"What's on your mind?" Jack asked, noticing Grayson's behaviour.

"Something strange happened this morning..I mean it's not that strange but before I went to bed I thought I saw uh something and then it was gone..outside of my window I mean" He said and Jack looked at him confused, stopping as they got to the jail Cell doors.

"What do you mean?" Jack asked confused, pulling out his large set of keys that were for every Cell and door in the prison.

"I'm not finished" Grayson chuckled, realizing how stupid he sounded.

"When I woke up, I thought I woke up super early for once to the point where I was actually proud of myself, but then after I got ready and went on my laptop for legit only a minute my dad was yelling at me saying we were late..basically the time on my phone was changed or something while I didn't have it" Grayson explained and Jack froze in place.
