Hello! I've finally decided to do I write this story on Wattpad. This is my first (IRL) story I've written and it is my dream to turn this story into an actual book. This story may have some disturbing details, which I'm not very good at explaining. I'm doing this to see how others like it so please express your thoughts by commenting and favoriting. Without further ado, let's start the story. I hope you enjoy.
Thursday, February 15
I was rushing out of the door to where my childhood friend was waiting. Dalton, the friend I knew since I was three. He is the only friend I can completely trust. I hurried over to him only to find that he was still half asleep. He must've stayed up to play video games again. He looked tired and had dark circles under his eyes.
"Dalton!" I nudged him a bit. I think he might've fallen asleep.
"Yeah...?" He turned and looked at me quite innocently. His eyes sparkled as the sun shined upon them. It was beautiful. I could feel my face flush with red. I shook my head as I proceeded to walk. Our neighborhood was close to the school so it was normal for teenagers to walk there. Dalton quickly followed once he noticed I started to walk. We talked for almost the whole time, but about the tiniest things. I kept my head down to avoid eye contact. As I was telling him about my time with my sister I heard his stomach growl. He looked me with a goofy grin on his face.
"Did you make my lunch again?" Dalton asked. I nodded. I made myself some mini-tacos with some vegetables on the side. As for Dalton, I made him a cheesy mushroom omelet. I didn't think Dalton could smell it from in my Lunchbox. We talked a bit until we finally reached the entrance of the school. I gave Dalton his lunch and made my way to my 1st period. It felt like all eyes stared at me once I got into the room. I quietly went to my desk and waited for my friend to show up. Her name is Alanna. She is pretty with her bouncy platinum blond hair and her yellow cat-like eyes. Alanna isn't a close friend, but she knows my biggest secret. She knows I like Dalton. I thought I was good at hiding it, but she saw right through me. As I waited for Alanna to show up. I laid my head on the desk and fell asleep. I didn't get much sleep last night.
"Adrien!" a familiar voice whispered. It kept getting poking me and honestly it was quite annoying. I moved my head away as that voice kept poking. I looked up to see Alanna. The teacher was talking, so it seems I slept until the middle class. I pushed myself up, trying to wake. I need to figure out what the teacher is explaining. The teacher was telling us to turn to page 394, so we can read about chemistry stuff. I hurried and turned to my page so I could catch up. Before I knew it, it was time to go to enhancement. I packed my stuff and walked out of the class while talking with Alanna. Out of nowhere, Dalton popped up. He looked like he was putting up a fake smile. I could tell something happened and I hope he will tell me why. He came over and greeted us. Dalton looked a little worried when he saw Alanna. Alanna told us her Goodbyes and went to her class. I followed Dalton to our class. I have a second and fourth period with him.
"Hey, Adrien can you help me with my homework? " Dalton asked.
"S-sure.." I tried my best not look Dalton in the eye. I know it would just make me shy. We got to the classroom and we sat in our seats. I watched Dalton take out his homework that wasn't even close to being done. I sighed and took out mine, which was finished. Dalton grinned as he took my paper which surprised me. I wasn't ready! I reached for my homework with no avail. He is so lucky he is tall.
"Come on! I said I would help you, now give me my homework back!" I whined. Dalton just laughed at me. I just gave up and sat down on my seat as Dalton continued to copied it all.
"You know, We'll both get in trouble for copying homework," I told him. He just looked at me like he forgot that. Hell, He probably did forget. He just pouted and gave my homework back.
"Then how do I not make it not look like yours?" He asked. I changed some of the answers to make it look like Dalton did this. It wasn't long until the teacher came to tell us about the big project we will be doing in our usual class.
Today was just a normal day, that made me feel anxious. It's never a normal day. Right now we are currently walking home. Talking about Johanna. Johanna Ann Scott, We've know each other since we were young. She has a huge crush on Dalton and hates me. Dirty blond hair and pink eyes, known as the popular girl. I've always wondered why she doesn't just tell Dalton she likes him, He probably likes her back. I looked down. Honestly, I don't want him to like her back...
"What's wrong-" Dalton's phone went off as he tried to speak. He took a look at his phone and looked tired. I was a bit concerned, Is he ok? Dalton answered his phone call, which it sounded like Johanna. We kept walking as I just listened to their conversation. It went like,
"Hey, Dalton! I just wanted to ask if you could come over and help me study.." Johanna asked. Dalton thought for about a minute and declined her offer.
"Sorry Joe, I have things to do today. Maybe some other day." Before Johanna could talk back Dalton hung up and let out a big sigh. Then I looked at me and smirked.
"Whoever gets home last has to buy the winner a donut!" Dalton shouted and we raced each other home. Sadly Dalton is faster than me, so I have to buy him a donut. Well, he told me I have to make him a donut. Once I got home I realized my mother's car was here.
"Oh no..." My heart dropped. I must have left school too late. She got home early. My arm still hurts from yesterday, I don't want to go through that again. Dalton tapped my shoulder and gave me a concerned look. My face started to heat up. I put my head down and waved goodbye to Dalton. He was just a house over. I went into my house as quietly as I could. As soon as I opened the door the smell of alcohol and cigarettes hit me in the face. I have to say, its the worse smell I've ever smelt. I peeked into the living where I was sure my mother would be.
"Adrien!" She shouted. I was so surprised I slipped and fell. I looked to see my mother smoking one of her cigarettes. She picked me up by my arm and threw me into the living room. I picked myself up from the floor resulting in me getting kicked in the gut. Knocking all the air out of me. She screamed and threw her fist at me. Words like Scum, Worthless, Disgusting, came out of her mouth. After getting her fill of beating me, she picked me up and lit a brand new cigarette. That's when my tears started to fall. Please Mother no! Anything but this. I put my hand over my mouth to muffle my screams. If I make a noise I'll get something even worse. Loretta pushed the cigarette against my skin, burning it. On my arm, legs. and back. Burning some of the scars that lay on my body, hidden away from the world. She laughed. She knew it hurt and proceeded to do it anyway, but no matter what I still love her. She is my mother after all.
I must've passed out from the pain because I felt like I was flying. I opened my eyes to find I am laying on the floor. I tried to get up but made the pain all over my body worse. I got up and made my way to the bathroom. I stayed there and cried. Why does my mother do this to me? I didn't do anything wrong. I just want her to love me. I just want to feel the tiniest amount of love from her! Is that too much to ask? I don't remember anything after that other than waking up to find that I'm in my bed.
