mikyung had woken up earlier than the man she spent the night with and kissed him on the lips.
"thank you for warming up the bed for me last night." she whispered as she hugged the king's bare body.
she felt happy as she felt the king hug hers in his sleep.
and enjoyed it, his warm touch.
and she loathed how she felt that it was not for her.
meanwhile, you had woken up from sleeping in jinyoung's arms, both of you had fun watching fireflies last night, like what you did during childhood and went straight to bed.
"goodmorning." he kissed your forehead.
you greeted back with a smile.
"so, what do you have in mind, today?" you sweetly asked him.
he hummed and stroke your hair gently. "i plan on visiting the site where we'll wed. it'll be boring, but, would you like to come?"
"i should try to explore this new village more... maybe meet some people around for the future. what do you think?"
he smiled calmly, "of course. now i must get up and dressed."
he kissed your forehead and got up, leaving you alone and heading in the bathroom.
once he came back, he was dressed and went out in his gama and left, saying he will eat breakfast there.
you got in your robes and walked out of the mansion and walked into the forest of tall reeds.
the wind led the reeds west today.
you headed to the lone tree, with a small hidden feeling of disappointment.
he's not here.
ah. he must be busy then.
you brushed an empty spot on the grass and laid down.
looking at the light that shine on the spaces the leaves did not cover.
and the branches.
at one of the smallest branches, a small blue bird landed and rested its feet.
you felt like it looked at you.
"hello, there." your breath slowed down as you felt the cold breeze hit your cheeks.
it's colder than usual.
"i guess you can go by your wings now."
it pecked the branch with its beak.
you looked beside you and swayed your arm on the empty space of grass.
and a small part of you wished you weren't alone.
"i never thought i'd find you here."
you opened your eyes as soon as you heard someone's voice.
"mino?"
you stared at the blonde hair swaying with the breeze and his beautiful silhouette as the sun's rays light on him.
you felt that slow heartbeat of yours again.
even imagined of hearing it.
he sat beside you and handed you a small wrap.
you slowly opened it.
"rice cake?" you smiled and took a bite from it.
as soon as you finished it, you swallowed the last bite and exhaled.
your eyes wandered at his wrist and grinned.
"the bracelet..."
"i wore it. i like it. it's beautiful, no?" he grinnes as he raised that arm up.
you put your fist on your chest.
wishing that it would slow down.
and wanting that time will too.
