Daniela stood in front of her mirror, trying to make sure she was picture perfect for her high school I.D. sadly summer was coming to an end and already it was her schools registration. she was super excited it was her senior year and she had already tried out for the cheer team and she made varsity. senior year was gonna be a good year for her because she was one ticket closer to getting a scholarship and getting out of freeridge.
She looked at the time on her phone to see it was almost time for her to head to registration, so she decided to head out early. she shut her house door making sure to lock it, when she noticed Monse walking down the street looking happy as ever she was super surprised at how quickly Monse grew over the summer, she had bigger boobs. "Hola Monse." She greeted her with a smile, the curly head girl stopped in her tracks "oh hey dani." She smiles as dani approached her. "notice anything different?" Monse asked smiling with teeth leaning closer to dani. dani smiled "you got your braces off, that's great! Look at you all grown up." Dani chirps making the girl smile more.
"Ay, ay, ay! Mamacita!" An old guy cat calls to them making Monse extremely uncomfortable that she started covering her chest. "vete a la mierda viejo!"Dani yells back to him "Angelica!" They hear causing them to notice Mario at his ex girlfriends house. "Once I'm gone, I'm gone! There's not gonna be a Christmas break hookup! You know why?" Mario yells to her window. "Cause I'm gonna be hooking up with other chicks! White chicks!" He chuckles causing dani to roll her eyes. "I don't know why I'm saying that! It's you! Talk to me, boo!" He cries out. "Maybe she's not home." Dani yells to him he quickly turns around to the two. "Oh." "Hey, guys" He says with a sigh. "How was, uh camp?" He asked Monse. "Mmm, tolerable." She replies. "Mildly life changing." "I can see that." He trails staring down at her chest making dani roll her eyes at him again. "You can? How?" Monse questions. "you just Look," He stammers. "I probably have to go before traffic hits." He changes the subject.
"I can't believe you're leaving me." Dani pouts wrapping her arms around the eldest Martinez. Dani and Mario have been friends for the longest time since they were babies. his fam were like her family to. quite frankly they were the only family she had. she lived alone, with her mother being know where to find probably high off some stupid drug or dead in a ditch, and with her dad being in prison she had no one. she missed her dad a lot and she couldn't wait for him to get out of prison but she didn't know how long he would be in there.
"You're the only family I have left and your leaving." She could feel the tears brim her eyes but she held them back she wanted to be strong. "hey, don't say that you know my family is your family to." He replies to her squeezing her tightly. "they love you. When ever your feeling alone just go over there you know they'll welcome you with open arms." "I'll make sure to call you whenever I get the chance." He mean't that he knew how lonely she was and he was so happy that his family loved dani and treated her like she was blood, he knew how much it means to her.
