chapter 6

As we left the table i could tell that Alistair was not happy with the arrangement i hugged his arm and smiled at him with the nicest smile i could to make him feel better he smiled back at me and held my hand as we walked to the fire in the center of the camp and Duncan seemed displessed but i kept holding Alistair's hand he kept holding mine Lea came from behind and jumped up on us and gave us a big hug

"So what did the king and Logan decide to do with us three?"

"He decided to have us be in control of the tower so that we can signal for reinforcements and the rest will fight for us so just like old times i guess"

Lea bowed her head down and looked at Duncan with sad and worried eyes she looked at him like she did father before... he left and never came back

"What about Duncan he is coming with us to. Right?

"No Lea i am not i am to lead the grey wardens too the battle as the commander of them it is my duty. I am sorry Lea but you must go on your own"

He came over and gave her a hug and she hugged him back them too must be very close nowadays

"The battle will start soon so be ready for it I must now go and take my position be safe"

Just as fast as he was here he was gone lea seemed upset and stormed ahead of us i stayed behind with Alistair he seemed scared but I held his hand to make him feel better he looked me with wide and worried eyes i looked at him with wild and joyful eyes he looked into my red eyes and smiled

I looked over to Lea but she was way ahead of us so me and Alistair went to follow her She stopped just before the entrance of the camp I looked up at Alistair and pointed towards my sister he let go of my hand and nodded so I ran to my sister

"You ok?"

"Yeah lets just go and get this done with"

She moved ahead and Alistair came up behind me and takes my hand and continued to walk behind my sister we got half way through the bridge and a fireball from the field came and hit right behind us I fell down and hit my head so Alistair had to help me up after the first fireball multiple kept coming I assume from the darkspawn in the field were attacking us.

"Guys we need to run ahead to get off the bridge it is dangerous here"

They both nodded at me i started to run first but i saw a fireball about to hit right were Alistair was standing

"ALISTAIR LOOK OUT!!" i screamed

He looked over and saw the fireball and frose i ran to him and i tackled him just in time i felt the fireball graze my leg i sat up and saw that Alistair was looking at me in shock at what i just did

"Are you ok?" i asked him

"Ye..yeah i think so"

"Ok good"

"Um are you bleeding"

I gave him a confused look but then he pointed to my leg and i was bleeding it was were the fireball grazed me i didn't feel anything but he had a worried look on his face

"I am fine i promise ok" i reassured him

He just gave me that look of yeah right i stood up and realized all the pain in my leg but i ignored it trying not to show that i am in pain i felt Alistair pick me up bridle stile which startled me

He carried me too were lea was she was waiting for us then Alistair put me down on my back and lea looked over at us and had a face of surprised and worry

"What the maker happened?!" lea yelled and questioned

"She got grazed with a fireball saving me" he explained while bowing his head down

"Oh well we better clean and bandage it up before more darkspawn appear" she stated

After the cleaned me up i could walk i just had a slight limp which i didn't mind

We walked a little past the bridge and a mage and one of the king's men came running towards us

"The darkspawn have overrun the tower we can't light the signal" the guard said with fear in his voice

"How did they get ahead of the hoard?" Alistair asked

"They came from the underground tunnels" he explained

"Well it looks like we need to light the signal" lea said with a hint of anger in her voice

"Ok lets go" i said as i looked at Alistair and he nodded in agreement

We moved forward fighting was a little bit difficult but i did it anyway i fell down a few times Alistair tried to help me but before he could i was already stabbed him with my dagger i rolled out from under him before he fell on top of me

Once on my feet i rolled the darkspawn around and took my dagger back from its dead hartless chest i looked over at Alistair and he looked in shock of what i just did

"What?" i question the look he was giving me

"Nothing..." he looked away blushing which made me smile at how much of a dork he can be

"Guys you done" lea said in a upset tone 

We nodded and Alistair ran up to where she was i jogged the best i could with my limp they didn't seem to mind waiting for me
