Reason's Why

Jimin and 'she who shall not be named', ended their relationship on the pure basis of Jimin not taking any more of her BS derogatory homophobic comments towards Namjoon and Jin after they came out as a couple. She was practically trying to force Jimin to leave his Childhood friends behind and kick them too the dirt, like he should of done to her long before. The male tried being patient, understanding and supportive of his obviously arrogant girlfriend. He tried consoling with her and find out why she got so upset and buthurt about the whole situation, he could swear he could see her on the brink of tears a few times but only concluded it was out of frustration that he was not giving into her demands. After the nth 'fagot' and 'going to hell' comment and the obvious roll of her eyes and a scoff harsh enough, it felt like she was spitting on his words, Jimin had had enough and ended it right then and there. Politely of course, he was still Jimin. She looked shocked but mostly hurt and the tears she had been holding for what seemed liked years, fell down her cheeks and didn't stop. They just didn't stop.

The last thing she had said to him played through his mind for months after the event and still confused him. "Y-Yeah finally! I was wondering how long you were gonna let me suffer. I didn't think it would happen to you too y'know but when they happened I knew it was over. It was over before it even started, right. Because you can't help what you feel, you were born with it, right? Its not my fault? I'll be happier now? Yeah well I've dealt with it already don't let the tears worry you, this is the final scene of our relationship, I've cried all the tears I needed to. Well see you in hell." She stated through her sobs and sniffles obviously trying to calm herself but Jimin could see she was shaking. He tried to reach out and comfort her, this reaction was definitely not expected especially with the cold treatment she had been giving him lately. "Hey hey, I'm sorry but-" she let out a bitter laugh and a semi-amused smile that seemed so fake on her tear stained pale face. "Sorry means nothing if it's followed by a 'but'. Leave me alone Jimin, we're done we have nothing to do with each other anymore just leave." She had said while wiping her tears that were still flowing but she seemed calmer, Jimin knew he'd only make it worse if he stayed so he reluctantly obliged and began to walk away. He reached the door of the small cafe and turned back to see his now ex-girlfriend with her head between her legs, hand wrapped around her knees and the rapid movement of her breath on her back, once again violently shaking. Jimin felt his heart shatter into millions upon millions of pieces, the thought of him being the cause of the girl being in such a state stung deeply in his chest. He decided not to go over and hug and comfort the girl and it took a lot out of him to do so, instead he retreated to a table near the back of the cafe and waited. He waited for about a half an hour, and each second tore him more and more because she didn't stop crying, not once.

After that half an hour, she finally got up from her seat and quickly made her way outside. Jimin made sure to cover his face and she passed him and when she had, he released a breath he didn't know he was holding and the tears that he had been holding finally fell too.

For months, Jimin went into a dark place. The events of that day constantly replaying in his mind. For all that time he believed that he was the cause and sometimes he would hate himself for it.

He honored her word and hadn't spoken to her once in those dark months. Until one day Jungkook and him were at the mall shopping for an anniversary present for Namjoon and Jin. Jimin saw her walking arm in arm with an equally as beautiful girl, looking happy and content. This honestly pissed Jimin off a bit, considering the hell he put himself through at the thought that she was going through a worse experience, though he didn't truly believe the break-up was the sole reason. All traces of anger and resentment faded once he heard her laugh madly and practically fall into the others arms. She looked happy. That's all Jimin wanted.

He walked over to the pair with a soft smile on his face, "Hi Nayeon.", the familiar voice made the girl snap her head towards the owner. Jimin was expecting a scoff and for her to push past him and walk on like he was never there, so he prepared mentally.

"JIMIN-AH!" the girl squealed engulfing the male in a skull crushing hug. The slightly taller man was taken aback but hugged back soon enough, feeling all the stress of the past months leave his body. "Jimin I want you to meet my boyfriend, Jeongyeon" motioning towards her partner ushering him to share a hand shake with Jimin. "Oh I'm sorry I mistook you for a girl." Jimin stated with a awkward laugh as he scratched the back of his head. The man laughed, " Well technically I am a girl, I'm transgender. I realized quite late so I've learnt to live with these first encounter questions. I identify as male, and don't worry I'm not offended or anything." He smiled sweetly, snaking his arm around Nayeon's waist. Jimin felt relieved at that statemet. "That's really cool man. I mean that you're so comfortable and confident about it, it's quite appealing." Jimin snickered when he saw Nayeon  glaring at him.

"Ah Jimin-ah, do you have a second to talk? I wanna explain my breakdown after our break."

"Yeah of course."

After a few hours of sitting and talking, laughing, thankfully no crying all things were out in the open and sense of clarity fell over the group. Jungkook had joined them earlier and even he felt bad of the conclusions he had drawn up about Nayeon due to the way she acted in those last few weeks.

Jimin was not the cause for her brokenness at the time, but now he wishes he was and she didn't have to go through the actual reason.

You see when Nayeon was young, Middle school, her father had left her and her mother... for another man. At the time her father tried to keep the relationship with his daughter and on friendly terms with his wife, introducing them to his new love and their already adopted twin baby girls. This sickened her mother to core and she completely cut him from her and Nayeon's life. For the next years her mother was in a constant downward spiral and eventually led to Nayeon finding her mother on the bathroom floor with the same pale color in her face as when he said the words, "I'm gay".

Not only that her new step-dad had gotten her dad and himself involved with dodgy illegal gamblers and ultimately ended them both up in jail, and with her mother gone and her being a now legal adult, the responsibility of her step-sisters was passed down to her. She was the only beneficiary seeing as the adoption was done in secret.

She had to give up her university dreams and take care of the two beautiful little girls that she grew to love tremendously. Eventually a close aunt of hers found out about her circumstance and insisted on taking up on the duties of raising the children and let Nayeon go to university and that's where she met Jimin.

Since that time she had despised the LGBTQ+ community as a whole and after her turn of depression after Jimin and her broke up, she had met Jeongyeon. And now  finally she could say it and mean it, when she says she's happy.

OKAY HEY GUYS.

I DON'T MEAN TO OFFEND ANY JEONGYEON STANS, SHE SHE IS A BEAUTIFUL WOMAN AND I WILL ALWAYS SEE AS ONE UNLESS SHE SAYS OTHERWISE. This was just for the sake of her character and Nayeon's character development. NO MALICIOUS INTENT!

Any whoo see ya boo!~.
