joshua smiled after reading the letter, mirae, who is walking beside him, seemed to notice it. he puts the letter in his pocket before turning to mirae.

"so why did you want to see me?" he asked.

she just smiled, "i just missed my sunbae, that's all." deep inside, her heart beat fast even though she said those words with such confidence.

joshua chuckled. they've known each other for quite a while now and he won't deny the fact that he misses her, too. "um, so what was that letter about?" mirae asked. "oh, someone sends me letters, it's kind of cool actually." joshua replied, smiling.

"and it makes you happy?" she asked, again. he nodded, "oh, then do you like that person?"

"i don't even know who that person is, mirae." he chuckled, "besides, i already have someone i'm in love with."

mirae froze on her spot, her heart clenched as his words repeated in her head.

"hey, you okay?" joshua asked.

"yeah, just a bit tired..." mirae replied, "i'll go home."

"i'll walk you home then." mirae refused but he insisted so she didn't get to do anything else.

she felt happy, again. her heart beat increased. her and joshua walking side by side as they walk home together.
