(Keith's POV)

I walked to my new school... Garrison High... I looked through the halls... Everyone in their own clubs... I'm guessing... The only small "club" I saw was of four people... A tall boy with tan skin and dark brown hair, Another tall boy with black hair and he was pretty muscular probably could pull off being a jock... The next was a short... girl with round glasses and a light brownish hair styled in a weird way, the last one was a tan-skinned boy with dark brown hair and an orange band around his head... I looked around a little more... But then... as I turned back to the group of four...The tall boy with tan skin looked at me in the eyes... his dark blue eyes... They looked like an ocean... "Hey, mullet!" The boy yelled, "huh?" I tilted my head, "Come here! You look lost!" he yelled, I walked over, "I am lost... I'm new...also... do you have to call me mullet...?" I looked at him, "One I can tell your new, and two, yes I do have to call you mullet because you have one and only you do, and three... The names Lance...Lance Mclain..." he smirked, "Ok... I'm uh... Keith... Keith Kogane..." I said. "Nice to meet you, Keith... This tall masculine boy is Shiro, the short smart girl is Pidge, and this big sweet fella is Hunk." Lance smiled putting his arm around him. "Nice to meet you all..." I nervously smiled. "Hey don't be nervous... We don't bite..." He smiled, "I bite though..." Pidge said chuckling, "Heh..." I half smiled, "Well what class do you have soon?" Lance asked, "I have... uh... Geometry..." I said, "Oh cool me too!" Lance smiled, "Oh... Well uh... can you show me where it is?" I asked, "Yeah... let's go it's almost time for the bell to ring anyways..." Lance said.

"Welcome class! I'm Coran Hieronymus Wimbleton Smythe, You can all just call me Coran of course..." Coran spoke, "I also believe we have a new student could you please come up?" Coran looked at me, I nodded and walked over, "Would you like to introduce yourself?" Coran asked, "Y-Yeah... I'm... Keith Kogane... I'm from... Texas...And I'm an only child..." I said, "Thank you, Keith, you can go ahead and sit back down." Coran smiled. I nodded and walked over sitting by lance holding my hands together my palms sweating... I was really nervous... Lance put his hand on my shoulder and I flinched a little but calmed down, "Are you ok M- Keith...?" Lance asked, "Y-Yeah I'm fine... I'm just... nervous..." I looked down. "Don't be... It'll be ok..." Lance smiled, His smile made me blush a bit... I like Lance... But I should give myself some time...

 It was our lunch break and we all sat under the bleachers sadly we had different lunch periods I had lunch with Lance and Shiro... Shiro had brought another boy to sit with us... He looked kinda like Pidge... but taller and older and male. "Keith this is Matt... Pidge's older brother and my boyfriend..." Shiro smiled kissing Matt's cheek, "Nice to meet you, Matt..." I smiled a little.

It was the last bell which meant time to go home... Lance walked with me cause he said he went the same way ask me... I looked at my palms holding my hands together... They were sweaty and my anxiety was building up... "Keith... Are you ok...?" Lance asked, "I-I'm fine..." I said looking down. "No... You're not fine... What's wrong..." Lance stopped and grabbed my shoulders turning me to him... Our eyes met... "I-I can't tell you..." I tried to hold back tears, "Keith... I'm your friend now... You can tell me..." Lance smiled. "F-Fine... When I get home... My father is gonna be drunk and he's gonna yell and call me names...and..." I was stopped... Lance had tears forming in his eyes and he grabbed me pulling me in a hug... "I'm so sorry..." Lance cried. "It's not your fault...Lance..." I smiled a little, "Keith..." Lance pulled me closer, "You should not be going through this..." Lance said, my nose was basically touching his... "I..." I began but Lance stopped me once again, "I've only known you for one day Keith Kogane but I will not let you be hurt this way..." Lance said tears falling down his face, "Lance...I can't let you do this for me..." I looked down a tear falling down, "Well too bad..." Lance smiled and wiped his tea off his face and some makeup would wipe off... "You're wearing makeup... that's why... You didn't want them to know..." Lance said, "Y-yeah..." I said, "Come with me..." Lance said grabbing my hand taking me to his home.

Lance took me to the bathroom ignoring the questions from siblings and parents, He pulled out a cloth and wet it down and started to wipe the makeup off my face... I winced every time he touched a bruise but was calmed by his eyes... They looked so worried...I felt bad... I made him go through this... Lance finished wiping the makeup off my face. "Keith... You don't need to hide your bruises or your scars... you need to go to someone about this... what's keeping you from doing this..." Lance gave me a worried look. "He threatened me... He knows if I tell someone he'll go after me... He'll haunt me... I can't live through it..." I looked down. "Then I'm not letting you do this alone..." Lance smiled, I blushed... and at that moment I did something I can't believe I did... I'm so stupid... I kissed him...
