Chapter 3

Kira's P.O.V

Once I got home I noticed Trey's car in the driveway. I unlocked the door and headed upstairs to our room. Once I got upstairs I took off my shoes and prepared to go to sleep, but before I could do that Trey came up to me and said:

"Where the fuck you been at bitch." He growled at me

"I was at the mall with Layla." I said nervously

"DONT YOU FUCKING LIE TO ME." He said while getting angrier

"IM NOT FUCKING LIEING TO YOU TREY, DAMN!" I said with anger in my eyes

Once I said that Trey came charging at me. He grabbed me by my neck and threw me to the wall. He started to kick and punch me over and over until he saw blood all over my face. With that, he just left me there. I heard his car pull out the driveway and I called Layla

Layla's P.O.V

I was getting ready for bed when I got a call from Kira.

"Hello." She said while crying to me threw the phone

"Yeah, Kira what's wrong." I said while getting angry

"He beat me again....... can I please come over." she said while becoming nervous

"He did what... I'm tired of him putting his hands on you. I want you to come live with me until you get on your feet. Start packing now."

"Ok, I love you bye." She said with a sign of relief

With that she hung up the phone. After that, I sat on the couch waiting for Kira to come over.

Kira's P.O.V

I'm so glad Layla said I can live with her until I get on my feet again. Now I'm trying to pack as fast as I can so Trey can't come and try to stop me. Once I got finished packing I headed out the door. I got in my car and headed to Layla's house but, first I had to go to the gas station.

Pulling up to the gas pump, I started to wait for the gas to fill up in my car, until I heard someone call my name. It was August.

"Hey ma, long time since I seen you." he said all excited to see me

"Hi, uh it's time for me to go august, nice seeing you." I said while seeing him examine my neck

"Wait ... uh what happened to your neck." he said worried

"Oh nothing look I have to go to a friend's house now ok i'll call you tomorrow." I said while getting into my car.

I pulled off and headed to Layla's house.
