I woke up to my alarm again, Monday great, I sat up and yawned, normally I wake up early in the mornings

But my Uncles were arguing late last night, about what? Absolutely no idea, but I could hear it from my bedroom upstairs...they do this every now and then, I really don't understand what

" Sonic!" I heard Silver yell from downstairs, how do they stay up all night? Well they do kinda work at night, and sleep during the day

I stood up and got ready, I put my uniform on and walked downstairs to greet my uncle good morning

" I was afraid you would sleep in " Silver chuckled as he put my lunch box on the bench and a plate of toast in front of me

" well I couldn't exactly sleep last night " his ears perked up

" why?" He asked, he looked confused and worried at the same time

" you and Shadow arguing " I said before I took a bite of my toast

" you heard us? What did you hear?" Now he was more panicked, I rose a brow

" nothing, after a few minutes of you and Shadow started I put music in, sadly I could still hear you both, but it was muffled, why?" I said as I looked at him confused, he sighed in relief

" nothing, just a little surprise for your birthday on Wednesday " Silver smirked slightly, I rose a brow 'what are you both up too?' I asked myself

Once I finished eating I put my lunch in my bag and put my shoes on and got ready to leave for school

" Have a good day at school " Shadow said as he came downstairs, I smiled and nodded, I noticed something on his glove

It was a small splotch of red? What has he been dying his quills red this entire time?

He noticed me staring and put his hand out of sight

" your going to be late, if you don't go now " Silver stated as he took a sip of his drink

" r-right, bye, oh and don't forget I'm going to hang out with a couple of my friends after school " I stated as I began to open the front door

" be home before dark, or I swear-" " I thought swearing wasn't aloud?" I grinned as I interrupted Shadow

" I'm serious Sonic " Shadow stated as he glared at me

" I was only trying to have a little fun, and I know, any later that sunset and I'm grounded, last time wasn't my fault though, Amy kept dragging me into shops and by the time we left it was dark " I huffed slightly with a small pout

" hurry up " Silver stated as he rolled his eyes

" ok ok, bye!!" I said as I walked out the front door, walking down the sun lit path, for some reason, my Uncles didn't want me out at night or in the shade of the forest we lived in

I mean why not just move closer to the city? Or at least move closer to the outskirts, I mean I have to leave my house at like six thirty and it takes an hour to get to school

" I know...but he said he put music in and could still hears us, and he was up late last night, he's nearly sixteen...do you think..." I was hesitate to say it, but Shadow understood
