"She's a villain, Izuku. She's going to be incinerated and that'll be the end of it." Mr. Aizawa insisted, his arms crossed as Izuku stood at the police station, fists clenched and head hung low at the finality of his teacher's words.
"Maybe she was a villain, but she wasn't bad," he choked out, tears steadily streaming from his eyes as he shook his head. After a few moments, he raised his face to the two policemen, Mr. Aizawa, and All Might all in front of him. "You saw in her file! She grew up in an unstable home, and was kidnapped by the league of villains. She had to survive, what else was she supposed to do!? They would've killed her if she didn't do what they told her to! This is our fault, our system failed her! You didn't even investigate her kidnapping, either!" Izuku yelled, tears steadily falling from his eyes as anger distorted his face, accusations flying at the pro heroes and policeman.
"Young Midoriya-" All Might started, but Izuku cut him off, startling the pro hero as he realized just how serious Izuku was.
"NO! Do not even try to defend this! She deserves a funeral, even if it's just me there. She deserves more than to just have her body burned and forgotten about!" Izuku insisted, his teeth bared at his superiors as he fought for you to have a respectable resting place. He bowed his head again momentarily, shaking it as his whole body trembled with rage for the first time in his life. "Y/n was given multiple orders to kill me and other students, but she refused. She was tortured multiple times for it, and even raped.... You saw her fucking body! She's a hero in her own right!" Izuku finished, raising his head again, taking in the sympathetic but stern faces of the police officers. Silence fell over the room for a few minutes before Mr. Aizawa spoke up.
"He's right," He said in a sad but earnest voice, with a tone of finality. "She will have a proper funeral."
"But Eraserhead-" A policeman began, but was effectively cut off by Mr. Aizawa.
"No. I saw her hesitation and refusal when faced with the task of killing my students. She endured much to preserve their lives. She deserves to rest in peace." He insisted, silencing the police officer as Izuku's tears become hot and a lump in his throat formed, bittersweetly happy at his victory.

Your funeral was a quiet one, only consisting of All Might, Izuku, Mr. Aizawa, and a few of Izuku's classmates came as well for support. Izuku's vision was blurred the entire time as he tried his hardest to fight back tears. Your note was folded in his pocket, worn out from being carried with him every day since your suicide. Once your casket was placed in the ground, Mr. Aizawa and All Might gave short speeches noting your bravery in the face of sparring their students. After they were done, it was Izuku's turn.
"Y/n.." He began, looking down at your casket placed six feet deep but uncovered. "I.." He shook his head as he dropped it, swallowing the lump in his throat before continuing. "I knew you for such a short amount of time, but there's so much I wanted to say to you," he choked out, his lip quivering as he used your own words in your eulogy.
"You were a beautiful person covered in layers of damage and trauma done to you by others... It blinded you of your own self worth and robbed you of the life you should've had... You should be here..." Izuku raised his head, picturing your face in his mind as he spoke. "I wish you would've hurt me, honestly! You should be here, with me, damn it!" he cursed, shaking his head and lowering it again, his fists clenched so tightly at his sides that his nails drew blood in his palms.
"I'm so sorry I couldn't help you. There was nothing more I wanted than to save you..." As he sobbed quietly, Ochaco took a step forward with tears in her eyes to rub his back gently. "But you're not... I just hope where ever you are, that you're watching. Just be patient with me, Y/n, I'll be the hero you wanted me to be. Just watch me.... Please.. keep your eyes on me."
Izuku watched with somber eyes as Mr. Aizawa and All Might filled your grave, before smoothing the top layer of dirt carefully with their respective shovels. Everyone stood around Izuku, attempting to comfort him, but he dismissed them all, staying at your grave for multiple hours before finally heading home.

"Mom! Mom! Look at daddy!" A young girl with brown hair yelled as she sat in front of the television, green eyes sparkling and freckled cheeks flushed pink, a single finger pointed at the tv.
Ochaco looked up from her position in the kitchen, seeing Izuku on the television carrying multiple women out of a burning building. He had just raided an underground human trafficking organization, and in desperation the villains had set the building on fire. Izuku had charged in again and again, pulling out countless young women from the fire, insisting he would not leave a single behind, his usual motto during missions. The hero Deku was dubbed the "Hopeless Hero Deku" early in his career, noted for his strength that surpassed even All Might, and his determination to save all life, no matter how hopeless.
"That's all of them! Momma he really got all of them!!! Daddy's amazing!" The child cheered, bouncing slightly as she clapped with a grin spread across her face. Ochaco rested her hand on top of the girl's head, a somber smile crossing her lips as her eyes watered, remembering Izuku's reasoning for his hero name, and the particular determination he had going on this rescue mission.
"Yes he is, Y/n," she whispered, a single tear sliding down her cheek as she noticed the slip of now laminated paper clutched in the hero Deku's hand as he set down the last survivor from the burning building.
Although many died from complications later, you were Izuku's first and only failure to save a life.
A/N- A short book with a sad ending, I'm sorry! But I hope everyone reading enjoyed it :)
