Pokemon Ranger: The Quest of Time

I waited outside the front of the school ground with everyone else. I sighed as I saw everyone chatting with their friends. But hey it's nothing new for me, I should be used to it by now. Currently Plusle and Minun ran off somewhere chasing each other. I didn't bother looking for them because I knew they would stay out of trouble. I was sitting on the edge of a fountain looking at my reflection in the water when I felt a tap on the shoulder. A girl with blonde hair that was in a high ponytail and blue eyes smiled at me.

"Hey there! I'm Kiki! Do you want to hang out with me and my friends?"

A little startled by the very random and sudden approach I agreed and I followed her. A few yards under a big shaded tree sat 2 other people; 1 girl and 1 boy.

"Hey guys look who I found! This is!-...

A boy with black hair spoke.

"You dummy you didn't even ask her what her name is!"

"Shut up Jason of course I did! Her name is..."

"My names Serena.-"

"-SERENA! See I knew that."

A girl with black hair spoke next.

"Well hey there I'm Tessa. My stupid twin brother is Jason."

They all smiled warmly at me.

"So Serena what are you training to be?"

I took a seat beside them in the shade.

"Well-"

"OH MY GOSH LOOK ITS A PLUSLE AND MINUN! OH MY GOSH OH MY GOSH THEYRE SO FREAKING CUTE!"

"Kiki! Shut up already!"

I laughed as I felt my partner pokemon crawl up my arms and climb onto my head.

"Well these are my partner pokemon Plusle and Minun!"

They all gasped.

"You already have your partner pokemon?"

I nodded.

"I guess you could say it was destiny I ended up with these two. When I was about 8, there was a fire at Professor Oaks Lab in the Kanto region."

"Mommy! The lab is on fire!"

"Honey stay inside don't get close to it."

"But the pokemon..."

I ran out my door hearing my mothers protests and yelling. I ran straight towards the burning building that was surrounded by locals. I looked all around the building for a clear opening. Inside I could hear faint cry's of trapped pokemon. "Don't worry I'm coming!"

Nearby I saw a broken window. I climbed inside and saw everything in flames. In a corner I saw some pokemon huddled together. "Hey guys it's alright I'm here to save you. Follow me." Hesitantly they followed me one by one. I shoved them all out the broken window that I had come through. Just as I was about to climb back through, I heard 2 frantic cry's of help. I turned back around and saw two pokemon trapped in by a burning table. I dodged falling objects as I ran over to them. I heard their soft whimpers as I got close to the table.

"Alright I need you guys to trust me. You both need to jump as high as you can over the table and I promise to catch you."

They both looked at me nervously.

"I promise I will never let anything happen to you."

Minun jumped first. I safely caught him and placed him on my shoulder.

"Alright your turn Plusle"

By now I was coughing and wheezing. My sight began to blur slightly. Plusle jumped straight into my arms and I headed back towards the window. I was staggering and losing my vision ever so slowly. In a vain effort to get the Pokemon out, I threw them out the window. I remember falling to the ground seeing complete darkness.

"Woah" was all they could say. Tessa questioned me first.

"Well how did ya get out?"

I hesitated for a moment.

"Well uh- I'm not sure. Probably a fireman or something."

That's a lie.

All I could see was black. As I thought I was finally about to die I heard a voice. I couldn't quite describe it but it was definitely there. Suddenly my eyes opened. My sight was hazed but I could still see. Right in front of me stood a golden light. I couldn't see past it but I realized that was where the voice was coming from.

"Serena Faith. You have risked your life in vain to save two innocent pokemon you have never met before. You have a pure heart and have an important role later on in your life that you have to fulfill therefore it is not time for you to die yet. I shall grant you another chance at life yet again."

I looked in awe of the strange being. As the light began to disappear, a loud cry rang out and a beam of blue light shot up through the ceiling from where the light had been.

"Until we meet again."

Just then I heard shouts from outside the building.

"Did you see that?!"

"There's somebody still in there!"

"Hurry we need to get them out!"

The next thing I knew my eyes started to slowly close again. Before my eyes shut I saw strange faces surrounding me and I felt my body being lifted into the air.

"Until we meet again Ms. Faith."
