After hours of Chenle helping Renjun, he was finally ready for his date.
"Are you sure they'll like it?" Renjun asked, fiddling nervously.
"Obviously. You look hot in glasses. They'll be all over you." Chenle reassured the older, adjusting the crooked glasses on his face. He smiled when he heard a laugh.
"Thanks Lele."
"No problem. Now it's almost 11 so I'm gonna go and leave you three alone. Bye nerd."
"Bye loser."
As soon as Chenle went out the door, Renjun was in a panic again. There were only five minutes until Jeno and Jaemin would arrive. He slipped his shoes on in advance, just in case, and started pacing. He didn't know why he was so nervous. They both obviously liked him, so really it was silly to worry. That, of course, didn't stop him, though.
The doorbell rang at exactly 11 o'clock. Renjun quickly checked himself in the mirror placed conveniently by the door. When he deemed himself presentable, he opened the door.
"Hello."
"Why so formal?"
"I'm trying, okay?"
Renjun snickered at the two in front of him. Jeno cleared his throat.
"Right, let's go, shall we?"
Renjun nodded. Jeno and Jaemin just stared at him.
"W-what? Is there something on my face?"
"Glasses." Jaemin said bluntly.
Jeno blinked. "Uh, just," he leaned in to whisper in Renjun's ear. "you look REALLY hot in glasses."
And that's all it took for Renjun's face to go completely red.
"As hot as this is, let's go, you two." Jaemin called already walking to the car.
Jeno pulled Renjun over to the car and Jaemin insisted that Renjun could sit in the front next to Jeno in the way to the park, as Jaemin had sat in the front on the way to pick up Renjun.
The three sat down in the car and Jeno started the engine.
"Are you both hungry?" Jeno asked before he pulled out of Renjun's driveway.
"Uh yeah, kinda." Renjun said.
"I'm always hungry." Jaemin stated.
"Alright, we're gonna go to a café. Since it's still not lunch time yet."
"Sounds good to me."
"Me too."
Jeno smiled and drove them to the café.
As they walked in, Jeno told the two to find a table while he ordered. They did as told, and found a booth near the back of the café. They talked a bit while waiting for Jeno.
"Gosh, I can't believe you actually said yes to a date with us." Jaemin told Renjun.
"You really thought I would say no?"
"I don't know, you just kinda seem...out of our league. Or my league anyway."
"Nana, don't say that. I like you both a lot, and there she nowhere I'd rather be and no one I'd rather be with than being on a date with you two." Renjun took Jaemin's hand and rubbed his thumb over it soothingly.
Jaemin smiled his signature smile. "Thanks Junnie."
"Anything for you, Nana."
"Okay guys, I ordered your favorites and they should be done soon..." Jeno trailed off as he realized that Renjun and Jaemin were sitting across from each other and hewould have to pick a side to sit at. He thought for a moment and pulled Jaemin out of the booth (gently) and sat him next to Renjun, then he sat next to Jaemin. They were all squished on one side of the booth, but somehow it was comfortable. Jaemin reached and grabbed each of their hands.
"I'm really happy right now, you two."
"Yeah, me too."
"Me three."
Renjun rested his head on Jaemin's shoulder. They talked until their food came. They never seemed to run out of things to say to each other. It was perfect. All three boys felt it.
Jeno sat his fork down on his plate. "Guys."
"Yeah?" They responded simultaneously.
"I uh, I know this isn't the most romantic way to ask, but...uh, gosh why am I so nervous?"
"Hey it's okay, take your time." Jaemin laid his hand comfortingly on Jeno's thigh. Renjun nodded in agreement.
"Okay, uh, I just wanted to ask...if you'll be my boyfriends..?"
Jaemin and Renjun smiled and nodded at each other before turning to Jeno, who was closing his eyes in fear of what might come next.
"Yes. yes yes yes, a million times yes!"
"You have no idea how long I've been waiting for you to ask that, you idiot."
Jeno let out a sigh of relief and smiled at the two.
"Boyfriends. That feels good to say." Jaemin stated.
The other two hummed in agreement. There was no place any of them would rather be.
